That can be band sawed and you can get a lot break ferrule stock from it. But, they are so cheap these days, it's not worth the effort imo. And that sucker would dull bandsaw blades FAST. It is not the expensive "asbestos" micarta kind . I wouldn't even work with that material at that size.

Turned from flat sheet has two sides that aren't too pretty . Besides the fact that it takes a lot of labor to cut that and turn round.
