Jack, please don't take my comment personally, it was aimed at Durb and the crew..... JRC is the perfect example of what a small town poolroom should be and I have always received top notch attention from the house! Wongs right, those were the days!!!! Durbin has never one a single nickle off of us (Bartrum in the box ((13 or so years and Durbs never got there...)) and in that time I've been barreled every known way and too many "innovative" barrels to count. The classic is just like Wong said, the barrell and then ask for a bone (walking stick). The Middletown crew didn't invent the barrel, they just revolutionized it. We won so much dough playing Durb that we always expected the barrel, so we didn't really care... If we knew Eric was broke or close to it, he never even had to ask for the walking stick... One thing I want to say about Eric though. He's had issues and done a lot of things in life that most of us here wouldn't be proud of but Eric is a good, stand up, solid motherf*****r and he is one of my favorite people in pool.... Throw TJ right in there too.

yea i was from columbus actually.

as for Jacks, it is a good place to go. one of the best places for action. Benny always took care of us and i believe we made his stay worthwhile when we were in there late. like i said those were the days.

Michael's is no different especially with Michael taking control again and players like Ryan and Shannon. there will always be action around for us sickos

i agree with you about the mike browns and eric durbins of the
world, they only pop in every now and then. why would anybody
play a person like this knowing there REP. i would never enter in
game with anybody with rep like that.they would'n get any action
from me.i have been doing this for 26 years i must be doing
something right, but i can't be there all the time.
my name is my bond,if i say i am going to do something then
you can take that to the bank.thats me and why i don't like to be
bad mouthed for something that somebody else did.
running down my pool room is not the way to go.

cincyman said he was out number with drug dealers 15 i think he
said and the money was stolen, TWO TIMES.
thats all i got. jack
Sorry Jack wasn't badmouthing the pool room just the people who played in it. I know why Durb doesn't play anymore 40,000 sets now and i know you do as well ( it starts with an H)

You know my crew very well, we bought and traded sticks many many times but a few instances caused us to never come back, not badmouthing you just the people who hung in their in the past!

The money was stolen genius and i never wanted anything from the room owner. LOL Tell you what you come down here by yourself and i will bring 15 drug dealers and i will let you win, and see if you get out with the money:eek: .
Thats my point einstein, And your right you know what....... I quit! You just confinced me to give it up.......I quit, i'm done, thats all folks.

Thanks Tim , you are the meaning in my life... your my inspiration.

edit here.
ps" i read some of Tims old posts and he mentions Jack's in everyone
Did mister Lee tell you post here? LOL are you his "muscle"
I'm no ones muscle, nor did Jack ask me to post. I also don't mention Jack in EVERYONE of my post. Get your facts straight.

the durb hasn't played in my room for a long time, because of being messed up all the time and throwing air at people.
what i was upset about was the referance that you could not win without
being STIFFED,thats not true.we have alot of action every day.
tommie stevenson plays here every day,and will play any body that comes in and nobody gets STIFFED.there is always someone in every pool room you go in that may throw air.again i reget you had a problem, and if i was there it would not have happen. always post with the counter person and you will always get paid.next time you have a problem let me know,if i don't know how can i fix it.my sister works days and benny works nights.
i am there every day 7 days a week form 11:oo till 5:00.
understand you have a little one on the way LOL they grow up fast .
my girl is 41 and has three girls. thanks jack

Got a call from Mike Medley tonight.

He ask me to let all the folks in AZland know that he is:

1. NOT closing
2. Not moving

He has just struck a new deal for the lease to the space.
17 years and counting in Fairfield.

Mike asked to say thanks to all the AZers who had posted kind words
about the place, and to remind everyone that the action goes on.

He is working on having some kind of memorial tournament
for local legend Gary Spaeth to kick off the pool season this fall.
.......................................................................................

Lunchtime update

Goal for the proposed tournament is three divisions
9 Ball - One Pocket - Bank Pool

Trying for October.

Dale

Thats good to hear Dale, at least now I know that if I ever get through school I'll still have a place to play. Really w/ the exception of Kick Shots, Michaels is the only real pool room in the area. No disrespect to Jacks but Middletown is to far out side the 275 loop for me.

Real Pool rooms are where the action is,and Real Pool Players go where the action is in or out of the 275 loop . Road players come in looking for action all the time, and the area is not a facter.
Some players would travel to a swamp to make a buck.Action is what drives them not area,or loops.
