The Romao's

I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with Bob and Edyie Romano. Janice and I met first these great folks in South Padra Island, Texas. These folks are top shelf. They do a very good job at there events. They do everything possible to see the vendors, players and spectators alike, are "WELL TAKEN CARE" OF.......and they PAY out all the prize funds.

GREAT FOLKS, and GREAT EVENTS.

THE WINDY CITY OPEN and THE MIDWEST BILLIARDS EXPO. Check them out on the web.

Absolutely true...

Bob, the poolplayer and Edyie, the promoter\businesswoman, (and woman behind Bob) makes this the perfect combination for these events. They know what the players are looking for, and how to make the vendors and spectators happy. I'm glad that they're trying to bridge the gap between the BCA and APA, to offer an event for poolplayers, of all skills. Add John Stitch to the mix, and it's an event that should be on everyone's calendar.
If the January Midwest Open was an indication of what's to come in October at Pheasant Run, it'll be awesome!

Good Luck!

Any chances of getting something like this in the St. Louis area, but in ILLINOIS? You know, the "Gateway Open"!!

I have dealt with Eydie for a few months now and finally had the chance to meet her and Bob last month in Vegas. They are great people and a true pleasure to work with.

Eydie seems to always be at the computer working on the expo and trying to come up with new ways that they can make it a great experience for everyone.

She is always interested in comments and suggestions as to how to improve the event.

It's great to see another tournament that the Romano's are doing. Bob has been a good friend of mine and a team player for at least 15 years.

Eydie is devoted to making these tournaments a win situation for everyone. She spends endless hours paying attention to detail and gets the job done.

For anyone looking for real action the Windy City Open or Midwest Open are the tournaments to go to.

My prediction is that in the next few years, you will have to sign up the year before to play in one of these events!

We would like to thank everyone for their kind words. This tournament and expo have been a long time in the making.

We sincerely hope to bring you the best quality tournaments that you will attend on a yearly basis.

As Earl said, keep watching this website, we have other surprises lined up for the Midwest Expo/Open.

More information will be posted on our websites at www.midwestopen.com and www.midwestbilliardexpo.com

Please feel free to contact us directly at midwestexpo@aol.com with any personal questions.

Thanks again, and we are looking forward to seeing you this October!

How do you sign up to play Golf and pool with Earl Strickland? I looked on the website and cannot find that information.
How long will he be in Chicago and how many people are in the classes?

Bob, how have our buddies Sarge and Jim Gray been doing sense I left Shorewood in 1999? Best of luck with the expo Bob.

How are you?

Sarge is doing great and I saw Jim for the first time in years about 6 months ago. He seems to be doing good to and no longer owns Jim's Rack and Cue.

Drop me a line at windycityopen@aol.com and let me know how to get a hold of you direct.

Hope to see you at the Expo/Open.

Bob
