John Hennessee and BJ Ussery just played a 7 hour 10 Ball match race to 13 😮

That might a record, anybody ever heard of or seen a match longer than that ?

Hennesse won it hill hill lol

Two words - Shot Clock! I always let the players know at the players meeting that we would incorporate a shot clock into any match that was taking too long. Otherwise your schedule would be shot to sh-t! :)

The funny thing to me is that we know they can play faster. Look at Justin in Mosconi. Living here and having to fade watching strong arm play for 30 years gets you into a "let's speed things up" mode.

The two tables they are using for the 10 Ball invitational event are 9ft Diamond Red Label with 4 1/8" pockets 😮

The cloth is well broke in and these tables are playing SUPER tough

You have to earn every ball

Final is a race to 15 all the other matches race to 13

Playing rotation on 4 1/8''pockets takes the Rotation..... game outta the game.
Similar to playing one hole with 5'' pockets.
7 hrs. is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay toooooooooooooooo LONG.
This isn't a five set Roland Garrows tennis final that's for sure....those only take max 5 hrs.
It's the viewers, the product and the excitement of aggressive rotation play that has been removed and lost.
Wonder Who choose this race length?

I will say the way the tables play did have big effect on the match but it was mostly on the players why it took so long.

While this match took place they played two other 10 ball race to 13 matches and a one pocket match in less time than this one match took.

Tournament promoters are the one that came up with the match length.

They are trying make this event into a similar Derby City Classic mini event.

The 16 player $500 entry 10 Ball is like mini Big Foot event..

This is the 1st year and they have had some schedule challenges.

100 players in Banks

Over 100 players in the One Pocket

128 players in the 10 Ball

Banks Ring game had 11 players

10 Ball 500 entry invitational had 16 players

That's a lot of stuff going on lol

I'm sure they will learn a lot from this 1st year and change up a few thing for next year.
