I'm not much into cue sticks, but I do remember when I was at a pool room in Las Vegas, Mika was there, along with Marcus Chamat. Marcus is good friends with my partner that I was with at the time, and so the two of them got to talking. Mika asked to see my boyfriend's cue, and in return, he asked to see Mika's cue.
He hit a couple balls with Mika's cue and was quite impressed. He said that he was amazed at the way it "hit."
Recently, I saw Efren Reyes and Francisco Bustamante win a tournament together, and the stick Efren was holding was a real plain-looking cue. I'm pretty sure Efren was using that Plain Jane cue because of the "hit" and didn't care what the cue looked like. :grin-square:
Mika is lucky to have a beautiful cue, as well as one that has the perfect "hit." For the player, it's all about the hit, but if it looks good as well, then it's a win-win. :wink:
