Congratulations Kam. Great veneer colors! Mike treats his customers just like family. His Blackwood players are among the very best. Enjoy!

Cochran cue

Congratulations Kam. Your new Cochran cue is very nice and it just looks like a super playing cue. I like the veneer colors also.

Damn Kam!

What did you use to bribe Mike with? He has told me he will absolutely never make a veneer cue for anyone again including me. Is this a pacifer cue? I know the wait is 3 years now. If you are waiting for a higher end cue to be built I will to offer to buy this cue when it arrives!
Great aqusition!
Congrats,
Nick :)

thanks but the cue is not for sale... i managed to get some table time with it today and it is a joy to play with... plus it holds a special value to me...

mike is a rare breed .. craftsman, artist and gentleman ... this cue is staying with me - it is a reflection of the true nature of the sport ..

hi all,

thank you for the kind words .. all credit goes to Mike, of course...

i have rec'd several pm's with various questions..

basically:

the wait is about 2-3 years ...
as to what Mike will or will not make is something you will have to discuss with him...
the cue plays extremely well and true...
execution, fit and finish is flawless...

and no, i will not trade or sell .. it is not a question of price... as i said, this cue holds a personal value to me ...

thanks again,
kam

Mr Kam

Could do a whole cue shot. I am really wanting to see the full cue.
Either way Thanks for sharing!
Nick :)

Mike's cue

here is part of the letter that came with the cue...

i had gone to visit Mike with Tony S and mentioned to mike that i had never played with any of his cues ...

so he goes over to the cupboards behind his table and pulls out a case that is wrapped ... the cue was brand new .. he hands it to me and says "here ya go... "

so i said there was no way i could chalk a new cue ... and he said he had made it for himself ... with a piece of african blackwood that he had been saving along with a perfect piece of straight grain maple...

i asked him to take the first shot and he said to just go ahead...

well .. the cue was magic ... made to his personal specs .. just magic ...

i handed it back to him and he said "keep it"

what a guy !

just wanted to bump up the cue in his memory and have added this image from his letter that came with the cue...

we miss you, Mike...
