To screw up editing something in a paint by numbers game like nine ball is inexcusable. Are the editors graduates from film school yet...or interns?
Obviously they reshoot balls to obtain a desired outcome, be it drama or to affect certain "winnner". This could all be done with more finnese. If you write a letter it deserves proofreading. Nobody watches the final cut? It's laughable really.
The previously recorded episodes won't change. So perhaps if this reality show doesn't go the way of the Turtle Man, they'll strive for better in future productions.

Keep in mind that when a small network puts together a short production like this, they are testing the waters. No, they don't spend a ton on the first short run of episodes. If it shows some promise and they decide to shoot more, the budget will go up depending on how much they believe it may become popular.
What I'm glad that I see is they they have been successful at showing who the people are. It's the people who make any show popular. The viewing audience will align with one or a few characters in a show. When you hear people talk about a TV show, they always talk about one or two people. That's what they watch the show for, to see how their favorite character does.
