Not 100% sure about this but I talked to a guy at our poolroom a while back who had a cue like this for sale but it had no ring at the joint and he said that Mike did not make very many of these cues. He was waniting $300 and the cue could have used a refinish. There are a few people in my area that play with Durbin cues as he is from Sullivan Illinois which is not far away. I had a chance to look at several of his cues a while back and they were all very nice and even got to hit with some. I bet this is a real nice playing cue at a good price.

Yes Matlock and I locked horns way back when Pluto was a Pup and he kicked my a%^,but you are right he is one of the best that ever put a quarter in a bar box(that's all it cost back then). This cue is freshly refinished and is super nice. We were playing with house cues. We thought we were hustling each oter, boy was that a joke!
