Mods have a thankless job that they don't get paid for. They put up with inane posts, flames, and childish behaviour. Sure, I've questioned some threads being closed or removed, certain people being banned, and don't agree with every little thing they do. That's because you will never please anyone 100% of the time. (I know I drive them crazy on a constant basis.)

I'm not kissing anyone's ass by posting this. I've received warnings on a few occasions and have even been hit by the ban hammer. By the way, I'm always going to complain about avatars and the nature of some posts. ;)

Mike and Dave: Thanks for giving us a place to congregate. It if wasn't for AZ, I would never have made the friendships I have.

Nice post.

I am thankful of this place, and I am happy that people like Mike and Mr. Wilson are willing to be moderators. I am just not agreeing with everything that happens here on AZ, just like in real life. And just like in real life, I voice my opinion.
 
excatly right, people act like idiots and then get pissed when they are banned.

the mods are just doing there jobs.

Frankly, I get tired of the childish crap on this site. I just dont read or participate in threads that are a TOTAL waste of my time.
Most on this site are cool people. Its the bad apples that spoil it for everyone.
Personally, I like the fact that the mods are not going to take any crap from the bad apples.
I am all for freedom of speech. But if the speech gets childish and unreasonalble, then its the mods job to protect the site.
Just my thoughts :smile:

And if that means Im a nutthanger, then so be it.:D

The woim promised to post his opinions on the bannings, which is why, waiting with baited breath, I came over here and discovered this post. I was curious what i.d. he would use, as he was banned...for being Fast Larry. Now that is the funniest thing I ever heard in my life. By the way, I want to thank Mr. Wilson for banning bernie and sending him over to the other forum, where he has many of us BEGGING to trade him to another forum for the real Fast Larry. But really, bernie is not so bad - I am convinced he was banned simply for being incredibly obnoxious. If you had given him another 5-6 months you would have learned to live with him.

This is the #1 site for pool in the world, they must be doing something right. What their doing right is a good job. If your not happy here just go. Johnnyt

I agree, if people minded thier manners and played in the sandbox nicely (like the adults they claim to be) there wouldn't be a need for moderators to take this kind of action.

If you hate Mike, Mr Wilson, AZ, whoever... you don't have to post on this forum. If you aren't happy, find another. I like AZ and the JimBo forum, although I post here more frequently.

And if I'm a nuthanger, then you're a duckbutter :joyful:
 
I will also add that I don't agree with Ross being banned, but it's not my position, or anyone else's besides Mike/Dave/Jerry, to say. I wish Pharaoh hadn't posted in anger so he could still be here, too. Both are valuable posters.

There are new people on here everyday, first thing they see is childish bickering and bad language. That's not what pool is about.
