I was curious how many individual hits did you get on azbilliards yesterday?
Hi Donny, Mike & Jerry are travelling back from the Open.
Last year we published an infographic on facebook with overall figures from the US Open. We'll make one this year as well.

We also made a story about it:

To answer your question in the best possible way, we don't have "individual hits" counted by google analytics. Our livescore page does not count refreshes and updates inside the code itself (the tables). So, if you stay on the page 2 hours or 2 mins, it does not make a difference.
We consider figures that are relevant:
- "visitors" (formerly "unique visitors" on google;
- "sessions" (formerly "visits" - so a unique visitor could multiply visits within a given day)
- "page views" and "p.v. per visit" because we want to know how many pages our visitors go through before leaving the site and with the extended amount of data we have, we believe it's interesting to our writers, content providers and sponsors (one new page viewed = two new ad banners shown).
For these friday/saturday, here are these numbers (friday is usually more busy with a lot more matches)
visitors: 24,701 (new all-time record) / 21,707
sessions: 51,068 (new all-time record) / 43,694
page views: 326,764 (I need to verify if it's a record) / 284,294
We're pretty transparent about our numbers and we would like others to do the same because advertisers get confused over the variety of figures and the way they are presented.
We're still the number #1 site in the world, thanks for asking
