Mike the Mouth...ouch...

Mike's excuses for today:

The loquacious “Mouth” commented, “I could win the whole thing, but I don’t care if I am not playing good. I would donate the money—that’s how much I care about it, even though I know it’s a lot of money.

—my ego is too big.”

Yeah, sure Mike! At least the last sentence is actually true!:D

Just to keep things in context, Sigel is from UPSTATE NY which has a totally different "attitude" than people from the NYC metro area. Around here, we get the rap of the "land of the type A personalities", which, to a certain degree, is well earned. People from upstate tend to be more laid back and "country". It really is like night and day.

Damn...and I always thought it was the ENTIRE Eastern Coast that was snobby. Or was it just ALL the big cities that I .....actually other countries think its the ENTIRE US. But us Indiana boys don't count.;) No one has a problem with us. We even wave to total strangers.:) And if were in a good mood we'll even say hi.

Sigel's already lost two matches today against Lohtander and Hann. If he loses to Manalo tonight, he will probably be eliminated. :)

Sigel lost to Manalo, 5-8, which should eliminate him from the tournament! :)

I videotaped the Efren/Bustamante match, as well as parts of the Manalo/Sigel match. I felt like going past him after the match was over and saying loudly, "Yeah, Manalo just busted into the rack, knowing that Sigel couldn't run out." But I have WAY too much class! ;) ;)

One funny incident was that Marlon played perfect shape on the 7, the ball before the 8. Then he made the 8 and left the 7 on the table!

Sigel jumped out of his chair and pointed out that the 7 was still there and Manalo about had a cow! We all felt badly for him. That made the score 6-4 instead of putting Manalo on the hill. Sigel broke and froze himself on the 8 ball, tried to throw it in the side with English and came up short, thus the remark above. :p Manalo made short work of the rest of the match.

A funny thing happened in the Busty/Efren match too. The cameraman hustled around to get a long shot that Busty had to make and sharked him. Efren clapped him on the shoulder and said, "Thanks!" The crowd got a laugh out of it. Busty never made it back to the table.

Santos taught me how to say, "I love you" in their language. (I asked him how to say a swear word and as a joke, he taught me that instead, lol.)

Mike Z. lost a game in his first match against Brian Groce because after he made the 8 ball to tie it up 4-4, the cueball was barely moving and coming to a rest when he scooped up the balls to send to the racking end. Brian called a foul on him and they gave the win to Brian instead, which made the score 5-3. Mike just never really recovered all day.

Luat did the same thing to him and the female ref only gave him a warning!

All in all, it has been a great experience so far and we are having a great time. :)

Linda,

If you want, but dont tell nobody, I have a big rifle with a 3x10 scope mounted on it, I am sure, Sigel will never know what hit him :p just playing!

Anyways yea I will say, that saying that about you is kinda shallow. The strategy if thats whats working then so be it. But if i was playing someone, gambling or whatever, I wouldnt make a comment about it. Either during the match or afterwards.

And what goes around comes around!

now if you really wanted to be a meanie lol, you could have said something to the effect of the only reason he was even on the King of the Hill was because he beat a women! And didnt hafta face any of the Top Male Players or Top Women Players!!!!!

Now i did finally get to watch the Reyes/Sigel match from Dec. And i thought it was funny everytime Reyes came up dry on the break, Sigel didnt have crap to shoot at!! How Reyes, does that is a mystery lol.

But anyways, if you want I can pull a Tonya Harding on Sigel, and bash in his knee or smash his bridge hand for ya :) but dont tell nobody :) lol

Now, on the flip side, It makes me wonder what would happen if Sigel, was playing someone or gambling and pulling his typical BS talk talk talk all the time, and ends up getting the crap beat outa him by the guy he just beat because, he ended up pissing the guy off! now that would be irony.

Thanks for the Uncle Guido offers, but his talking and mental attitude is his problem, not mine. ;)

He WAS awfully subdued in his match against Manalo. :p

The only time I thought Mike S wasn't a total ass was while he was taking his licking from Efren. He laid the blame square where it belonged and his comments were humorous.

Hu
I was watching the KOTH last night with a nonpool playing friend so he didn't know who was who or the history of any play 'cept for whatever history may've been aired, and he found Sigel to be extremely arrogant, sore loser-ish, and being distractive to Efren. (those are all of my friend's words)

About 10 years ago my friend almost bought a 3BR house, a barn and 100 acres near Bighamton for 68K. Quite a difference indeed. There is no hick like a NY hick some say too.

I interpret it the way I've always interpreted Mike S... he's a piece of s#*t.

Jake posed a question not too long ago.... something along the lines of wondering how Mike got so lucky as to have landed a good friend like KT... my response was that sometimes good things happen to bad people.

The guy is an absolute, classless, jerk.... always has been, always will be. This is not an act for the camera's or reporters...it is who he is.

This is pretty much how I feel about him too. I can't for the life of me, figure out why there are so many people on the board that think he is a saint:confused:

I don't care how far he gets in this tournament....he's no champion in my eyes for making a comment like that...

From eveything I've heard and read about him...it's no act...the guy has a huge ego and is a real piece of work...

From my spy at the World Series at the Rio:

"Sigel was walking around the poker area like he owned the place, like a celebrity. It was hilarious, because nobody knew (or cared) who he was."

Boy, he really is a talker....I can't believe he said this about Linda...(it's on the IPT website)...

"After one game like that I decided I’m not going to do that anymore, so I just decided to smash the rack and let her try to run, and I won like five games in a row. If she makes them all, then hey, good run, but she never did. She can’t run out. So that was my strategy, and it paid off—of course, I would never have done that with another player.”

It seemed kind-of harsh to say that she..."can't runout"...and that he wouldn't have done that with another player...

I'm leaving for Vegas on Wednesday to watch the last five days...I think that I'll sit close and watch some of Sigel's matches and see the arrogance in person...(if he's still in it)...

I wonder if he made any comments like this to Linda in person during the match?? Let us know if he did Linda.

I checked the site just now and realized he didn't make it to the 3rd round. Haven't heard from him anything new anyway. Now, how would they hype the event? >.< (since he's gone) By the way, they don't show the GLI's of the players in the IPT site or am I wrong?

Actually...I would like to hear some of his crap for myself...and hopefully it's in a match when he gets his butt kicked...

But like someone else said...once he gets in a match with one of the big guns...he'll probably be quiet as a mouse...but if he's not...I'll think that I might just enjoy hearing him whine a bit...

he has not faced the big guns and already lost.
