Most of these threads get quite a few to jump on the band wagon. I didn't respond to the post where Mike was kind of going crazy with the complaints. But I did think maybe he just needed some time away from pool in general, looking at his comments. He was trying to tell Az how to run their own website it looked like to me.Terrie Janis said:

I don't know what he did to get banned, I miss the majority of the "hot" threads around here it seems, but he's a good guy in my book and I hope he comes back for good soon.
I don't get it. Everyone complains about poor representation for pool players, and no real tour, yet when someone puts forth a huge effort to improve the standing of pool, he gets nothing but criticism here. So what if Mike advertises pool events and a tour on a pool website. He is trying to find any good avenue to get pool going. I would think that would get him support, not ridicule. I have no idea why he was banned, and that is not what I am talking about, it is the fact that people are complaining that he advertises his tour on here.

I don't know him, but I know that he was in many arguments on On The Break News TV's forum and you can no longer see any of his posts on there.

Mike Janis is a hard worker that does try to promote pool, however there is a limit as to what promotion methods are appropriate. Bashing others that are in the same business is not proper behavior. Disagreement is healthy - and so is competition. But everyone should be trying to accomplish the same thing- making billiards grow.
Some things are better left unsaid - or at least handled in private - particularly if they are not accurate.
AZ Billiards is supposed to be a forum for discussions about pool. It should not be necessary to treat prople in a disrepectful manner when responding.
I was the recipient of several of his 'flames' and he takes things he 'thinks' are true and proceeds to make them gospel - which does absolutely no good for our struggling industry. Also, Mike's insistence that no response means his side of the story is 100% accurate is improper and bullying other posters.
Hopefully he will 'mellow out' a little. If you treat others with respect - then you will be treated with respect. This is all I am going to say on this issue.
