Mile High Billiards review

I finally got to play on one of the 9' Diamond tables at the new Mile High Billiards in Arvada Colorado. The lighting is great-there was a lot of room between my table and the next one-the table played perfect-the pockets are a little tight and I did not measure them but have attached a picture. The Cyclops balls took a little getting used to as the colors are a little different and the cue ball is not solid white but after a couple racks of straight pool I was fine.Even as tight as the pockets are I managed to string a couple racks of straight pool together. The pockets play fair and unless you hit a shot too hard and a little off they will hang up-speed it just right and a little miss hit will go in.
So after about an hour by myself Tokyo Dave a forum member showed up and we played straight pool and some 9 ball.
The one thing that happened that I never remember happening before was that when i got my table the counter girl brought the balls to the table. I don't know if this is house policy or if she just did it on her own.
Also the table time is $4.00 an hour.

Yes those are tight, 4.25 or maybe 4.125?. The table time sounds very reasonable and having your balls handed to you by the counter girl is very nice:wink:.

Thanks for the review.

I have been practicing a little and I still suck at that game. I got a 29 the other day and was ready to go into rack three when I friggen missed. I have to get through the Mosconi cup and then I will pick a Saturday when its not snowing and come visit.

Sweet table..I enjoy playing on a tight table..
The only thing better is playing on a 9' diamond.
your killing me with that 4 dolla tho..nice.

But in truth..I'll play on most anything if it's all there
is..almost.I haven't played with the cyclop balls yet.

Have a good turkey day man..

At Felts in Englewood you can play on nice 9' Diamonds from 8AM to 4PM for $2.50 an hour.We are very civilized here.
And the old Gold Crowns are $2.00 an hour
