I'm going to try and bow out of this discussion before someone tells the moderators I'm a bad actor and need to have my mind put straight. I'll probably post a follow up when I'm attacked, but otherwise I'm done. Of course it would be wonderful if Stan would kindly step in and explain himself so that his followers don't have to spend countless hours debating skeptics.

One more time for the road:

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=5321812&postcount=1615

I'm thinking of making a video shooting with CTE so you guys can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Maybe I've got inside vs outside sweep backwards, I don't know (but don't believe so). I might make the video this Sunday or might never do it. If I do it will be in a separate post.

One more time for those of you who didn't understand it the first time: Of course I think Stan is probably a tremendous instructor. I was hoping to get a reaction out of Stan by saying that he must not be much of a teacher if he can't even explain his own method clearly. I mean think about it. What kind of instructor presents all this information so nicely but when a whole lot of people clearly don't get what the hell he is saying, he turns off comments on his videos, refuses to address the issue, and starts name calling? I'm just saying if I had something that worked so well I'd find a way to make it understandable. (and please don't say, "You have to get the DVD to understand" because it is clear that not even the supporters of CTE understand it).

So why doesn't Stan defend his perception videos? Some ideas:

1. He doesn't want to teach the method to people who ask probing questions, only to those who do it without questioning,
2. He doesn't understand what he is doing and can't admit that,
3. He does understand what he is doing and doesn't want anybody looking into it too closely,
4. He made a mistake in the video and doesn't want to correct the record,
5. He has defended it in the past (has he?) but still nobody understands, so he's given up explaining it,

I'm sure there are other possibilities. Oh, before you make number 6 be that I'm a jerk and why should he answer my questions, go read the Sam thread. I only started questioning Stan's ability to communicate after he ignored my honest and polite requests for clarification. Some others like cookie tried, but he just sent me an unrelated video.

OK, flame away!

When I visited Stan I challenged him with EVERY naysayer point. He answered every point to my satisfaction on the table.

Are you saying your claim that CTE is "connected to the geometry of the table" comes from the numerology stuff that Hal was into? Most people consider that to be a pseudoscience like astrology.

I'm certain every pool player on this website would have an immediate bump in their game if they applied the following real science of equations from YOUR whacky world of what's important. This is what separates forum players from the PRO players. PRO players really do know this like the back of their hand.

Wise decision before you illustrate how much more lack of class is still left in you.

To answer your question, I never had success with any shot using CTE where the angle wasn't already correct, if you know what I mean. I had some results that were different from what Rick and some others have had, so it is possible I did something wrong.

And you're saying you may produce a video to have other CTE users on here point out what you may be doing wrong? Save your time and energy.

If you haven't had success with ANY SHOT using CTE (snip the rest) you're doing EVERYTHING WRONG!! Don't sweat it because it isn't you're fault. Stan is a bad instructor.

Your good at attacking me because I criticized Stan. How about redirecting your energy towards figuring out why Stan clams up when people (not just me) ask for clarification? Any ideas?

How about you redirecting your energy towards figuring out how to get CTE to work on a reasonable number of shots before criticizing Stan, me, or anyone else. ANY IDEAS on why it worked so poorly for you? Could it be since you didn't get the foundation dvds?

I thought you were out of here...guess your agenda is still strong as ever.

Tap tap tap. Stan please don't let these guys get you upset. All the information needed to learn and excel with CTE is out there and you are only going to continue to add to.

They are truly fleas and nothing more. Dan knows FULL WELL that he could contact you privately and get help but instead prefers to nitpick in public under the guise of seeking "clarification".

None of these people want to do a shot making contest with you. The only guy who stepped up is Bill Stroud and you would flat out BUST him just like you would bust all the naysayers.

Last night for practice I was doing two rail banks, nailing them. What you have brought to the world through continuing Hal's methods is super strong and like all truth will endure.

Thanks, John!

Super strong! Absolutely!

And I will assure anyone that is interested in Hal's work in conjunction my work will not be disappointed in any way with the results of my continuing efforts to completely resolve CTE. ( And CTE is now resolved!)
What was super strong is NOW quadruple strong......no back steps, no side steps but all forward within the exact confines of what I have already introduced.

Jb thank you! You don't know me . My name is xxxxxxx from Omaha NE. I have watched all the CTE videos, and follow AZ for awhile. I play for fun, and leagues, and tourneys. I been on the same BCA league with same team for 25 years. I've built a few cues at my buddy's shop by his good graces and guidance, Pete Cherrier. I have too many bad habits from years of intuitive play. Despite that I've been known to string racks together on occasion. Anyway, your videos and time spent making them are incredibly cool. They would help anyone improve...even me. But praise to you from the New players. My girlfriend is new to pool. Sharing and showing her your input is a great starting point. You have made a terrible player a strong B by giving her a reference point to play with. It took me a few million balls to figure out for myself... and still learning. Thanks from me, her, and I'm sure countless others for your generous, insightful help.
Hands down best cases too. I enjoy pool. I'd like to give a special case to my dear friend, cue builder Pete Cherrier, for allowing me to make cues in his one man shop. He is the best. Your cases are the best. He should have one. If possible, please put me on the list for a beautiful leather case from you sir. I'm happy to wait, and it would be great to be able to show Pete my gratitude for all he's done.
In closing, Thanks for your time John very much. You make the world a better place. Amen brother.... xxxxxxxx"

Before the anonymous trolls, attackers, naysayers, and general irritants make a post to your post, I'll say it first for them: You made this entire thing up! You fabricated it!

How many possible shots are there with PRO1?

Stan, with all due respect, I read this post earlier today and I was baffled. I wondered how a guy could read my comment (even quoted by you above) and come away with the idea that I said you "clam up" about everything? My comment was very specific about how you never respond to questions asking you to clarify one of your perception videos. But since I seem to have your attention I feel lucky to be able to finally get some answers, seeing as I've unfairly accused you of claming up and ignoring this same request at least 5 times.

OK, where am I and others going wrong here? It makes no sense to me so I'm glad to have a little help:

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=5321812&postcount=1615

Thanks in advance.

Well it's been "interesting," but I think I'm on the right track now. I think Stan must have missed my other posts looking for help with his video. But now that Stan said he does anything but "clam up" I'm happy to say we'll finally get some answers, maybe after he has dinner hopefully. For reference, this was the question:

Perhaps this can help and provide additional direction.
You must have the mindset that CTE is a pro system. No doubt, you are a strong enough to know how to get down on any of the 5 shots in a conventional manner. So, take this perspective.

Use the CBE to OBA as your starting point perspective and fall into your stance with CB edge to A as your aiming solution....just like you probably always have

Here's where it gets a little different and visually odd......(at least for a spell).....as you are moving into your traditional vision behind CCB......hold it....don't do it.... Move your vision to the inside of CCB so you can sight the 15 degree perception sight point as described in one of my YouTube videos.....See that perfectly and then pivot to CCB....you will never view it perfectly in a direct 2d.....but sighting is a different matter.

CTE is close to what you are already doing.....but you must offset your vision for proper sighting.....and for ultimately arriving at the CTE relational offset....
