What's happening? Will there be a tournament?

About 100 players registered, which means about 75 000 $ in first price.

I noticed that it is scheduled on the same dates as The European Championships. Can we expect some reactions from WPA if players from Europe will choose to not compete in the EC?
 
Roy...How do you know 100 registered? The site only mentions that those 100 "expressed interest", not that they ponied up $5K, and are IN the tournament. I'm betting that there aren't 20 that actually post the dough...and that would likely mean no tournament...at least not on the scale that it's being promoted as.
