Miranda Cue - FS/FT - Phillipines

GoTulane

Shizzle-rific
I am putting up for purchase or trade a 98% condition Miranda cue, handmade in the Phillipines. I shot a few times with it, but would like to see what someone might buy it for or trade for it. I purchased it 6 months ago for $600, and I have recently added a new predator Z shaft - 1st generation, to go along with the cue's original 2 miranda shafts. It has a 3/8 x 10 joint just like a usual McDermott cue. Both the Miranda Butt and the two Miranda shafts have matching joint protectors emphasizing the ring work on the cue. It is a beauty. 8 points on the forearm, 4 high real ivory with ebony and maple veneers and 4 low ebony points with maple veneers and real ivory diamonds at the bottom of every ebony point. The butt has 8 points as well, in the same style as the forearm points. The rings are southwest style design, I would say, but don't quote me. "Miranda cue" is signed in a silver color at the butt section of the cue, right above the butt cap on the ebony butt sleeve. One Miranda shaft is new, and the other has been test hit onlybecause once I got the Predator Z shaft, I never tried the Miranda shaft again. Miranda Cue is Johnathan Tornea located in the Phillipines, and he sells a majority of his crafts on eBay. His cues show great craftsmanship and use true materials to make his art. Cue, butt, and shafts are straight and roll perfectly. PM me with any questions or offers. I will post pictures Sunday, or PM me for them.
I just want to try another cue out there, and I already own another Miranda cue. So I am trying to see if anybody else would like to try out a Miranda cue through trade or sale. Not sure what it is worth to somebody else, so send me some offers. I would like the ability to trade for another outstanding cue, or sell outright and find a low end custom within the next 6 months.

By the way, I would trade/sell the cue with or without the Predator shaft, so please let me know what your offer entails.

Thanks for looking.

Hit??

hey,
What does a Miranda Cue hit like? - Generally speaking. I thought about pulling the trigger and getting one. The craftmanship looks outstanding, I never saw one in person. Definitely, alot of cue for the $$$$.

I like the balance, very solid feel. I have a 3/8x10 and a 5/16x14 both flat-faced. I play with a Diveney/Berringer/Peachauer/DP and the hit is as good as any of those,IMO. I dont use the Miranda's,though, I felt they would be a good investment, and still do. You wont be sorry, but you probably won't get much support on here because of the very well deserved respect for American cue makers.

Miranda Cue

Yeah, I shoot with another Miranda that I own, and I have found the hit to be good. I have owned a Gilbert, a few Lucasi cues, a Longoni, a few McDermotts, a Players, a Meucci, a Joss, a Schmelke, and a Predator during my life, and I have shot with many more maker's cues over the last 25 years. And I will have to say that it hits just as well as any cue I have owned or shot with, and the detail and design work is very clean. It is a beautiful cue that has others stop to look at it. If made by a known American cuemaker, this cue would be in the 2 - 4 thousand dollar range. So I will say it is a lot of cue for the $$$$. You can't go wrong.

I do believe the craftsmanship is very good and im sure the hit would be excellent too if its a 3/8 10 pin, with the big pin cues out there they all seem to hit solid. The only thing i heard that was negative was the finish wasnt always the best and the shafts would tend to warp, but put a predator on one of these cues and they hit just as good as any other cue out there.A guy where i play had a Miranda with a predator on it and he says it plays well,if i see him i will hit with it with the OE shaft and the predator give my opinion.

Miranda cue for trade/sale

yeah, the one I have has a 3/8 x 10 joint pin. And i have a predator z shaft included with it. It hits great.

Bump

Bump to the top for a man who wants to trade? Anybody want to trade for a Nice cue? May not be known, but will rise in value.

I currently have this cue and put talisman tips on it. I am also going to ask 600 for it as I have only used it to test hit with and retip. I can also be reached at javier_a_rodriguez@comcast.net.

I am only looking for cash, so please no trade offers.

Thank you..

Also, tiddler and GoTulane have dealt with me with no negative feedback. I am straight up and do not hesitate with mailing either overnight or whatever the preference.

Miranda

Really nice cue, lots of ivory. Beautiful design. I used a predator shaft on it to test hit, and found it to be a nice cue. if you are looking to try out a up-and-coming cuemaker from the Philipines, Miranda is one to check out. And Javier is a great person to deal with. This cue by an american cuemaker would be at least double in price due to all the ivory. Take a chance.
