Mis-aligned long rail.

I have a GC5 where the long rails don't line up perfectly with each other. I have loosened the rail bolts and tried to move them into alignment but can not get enough adjustment.

What is the fix? I may or may not choose to do it myself.

be sure that you have the rails installed in the right order around the table

I don't seem to have enough adjustment in either or both rails. Even with both rails loose I cannot move them into perfect alignment.

Loosen all 18 of the rail bolts and center the rail set on top of the slate. After is is centered in all directions, tighten the foot rail. Check for square, then tighten the head rail. Now sight down one of the long rails, adjust and tighten all bolts, then do the same for the other long rail.

Sight down the feather strip where the cloth meets the rail on the top side, is it in line with the other rail? Maybe the slates are mis aligned..
