Hey Guys.

i set out today on a mission, to run a 100 balls (I am sure i am not the only one here) like i said one day jokingly to my wife and fulfilled it that day. but today was a little different......boy was i pissed, try to cheat the pocket to break open a cluster. and the ball jawed the pocket at 61.

felt pretty good though shooting today, felt like i was starting to pull out of the slump after a slow start this morning.

Steve

Sorry no video !

did you get a skid or just miss? on my table in Vegas it would be 100% impossible to run 100, were getting so many skids 2-3 every game of one pocket-I'm about to switch to something else than use 860.

sorry you didnt get 100 today, 61 is still real real good

No skid. I think cue ball direction took higher regard though !!!

Still had 9 balls left on the table with a break shot so that would have put me at 70.
Played the breakout with an insurance ball too.

Oh wll back to the drawing board. Feels good to be breaking out of my slump though !

Congrats Steve, 61 is a nice run. Too bad it´s not on tape.

@ Eric : you should put on Z9 Cloth...you will not regret it believe me. It´s so much better then Simonis and most of all it lasts longer.

will try again Tomorrow, this time i am bringing the camera.
the camera is a great learning tool, so i need to keep on using it.

Good Or Bad footage, its all helpful.

Thanks

Congrats. Good number.

Now just put the camera on all the time. That way when you get another big number, we'll all get to see it.

yeah i know.... Thanks dennis.

kind of a hassle to set up the camera at the pool hall sometimes. especially if i dont get the good table that has room to set it up.

going to bring it today, hopefully i get some good footage to share with you all.

great shootin bud.
to fatboy skids come from the balls, not cloth in my opinion.
took the words right out of my mouth.... keep the 860 in place.

polished balls can still skid if they get a bit of chalk on the contact point or were handled by grimy paws. i often hit cut shots with a tad of 'helping' english, especially when cheating the pocket, thick.

steve: sometimes i can break out of a slump by looking at the base of the object ball rather than the contact point. this forces me to see the whole shot. when i get back in-stroke, i not only see the shot clearly but i also notice the other balls on the table as i'm shooting and concern myself more with cue position. when i'm out of stroke, i'm watching the OB to the pocket rather than the cue. then other times i can't break out of a slump until i get some sleep. fatigue is a pool players worst enemy.

Sausage,

I Normally dont fixate too much on the path, just because i was trying to cheat the shot to break up the cluster.

i get stuck looking at paths when i play 3 cusion billiards, that why i try not to play it too much kinda messes up my pool game.

i use the base of the ball technique when i play combos only.
