Missing Members where did they go❓

I figured Smoky had died. Sorry to see it confirmed. He was passionate and would go on a real tear when he saw a wrong or injustice. Sometimes it was a misunderstanding which just made things funny. RIP my friend! More that I am forgetting and some I am deliberately not mentioning that I figure are busy other places.


This is why I hate trying to list good posters gone or largely gone. Craig I think. 420 Trooper too. Trying to remember Matt's handle too, another good younger poster. Catman rarely posts, Country Calvin's brother. Lots of fine people. Some died, some just pulled a fade. Figure it is their business so I don't want to drag back people that chose to leave. Too, so many can't play pool or it is impractical and they get tired of posting without doing!

My li'l bar table is open air on the back porch, mo'better than nothing! I have been keeping my ball sets inside, moved them outside since they were getting dripping wet when I brought them outside. Haven't tested that yet with the house and yard work needing doing!

I think it was BlueHogRider, Terry, that rode the wall of death as a young man, built one in his own backyard when he quit the road with that. Speaking of Terry's, another great Terry, Terry Ardeno. Lost him to health issues then he found God. Speaking, preaching, living the good life have all conspired to take him away from pool. Can't fault him for leaving but sorely missed! The list just seems to run on forever. Trigger is missed too.

I think that SmorgassBored is hands down the most missed poster gone but after that it is a many many way tie for second place!

Damn. What happened to Smokey?
He sent me a bottle of 21 year old Pappy Van Winkles once. Wish I never opened it. Damn thing would be worth around 4000.00 now. But is sure tastes good. :)

I believe I am friends with 420Trooper on FB.

I did an RIP thread when I found out.
I believe he was in Stockton CA. He decided to move out of CA. Got involved in with some shady people and it cost him his life.

Did anyone ever find out what happened with Pink Lady? I stayed with Matt and her one night when I was back east.

That's the kind of guy he was. He once paid to have three broken-down pool tables reconditioned with new cloth and rubber, along with new cues, for the local boys and girls club. No bragging, he just did it.

I do not know what happened other than that he was 71, and he died in November, 2018. We fell out of contact and so I did an online search and found his obituary. He was a strong personality with a heart of gold.

He was supposed to show up here for a drink years ago.
I know he was still on the road with his hog at the time. I figured he would swing by TN at some point.
Going to have a pour one for him.

I see him on Facebook now and again, on another former AZBers page (sfleinen, who is doing well and is amused by any updates about AZB that I give him)
 
I always liked the clever handle that "Pre-war Veteran" gave himself. Liked some of his posts too. He auctioned off a lot of his large pool-related collection a few years ago, as I remember.
