Burn all jump cues

I watched the pool part of that Mississippi Men for the third time. They still don't get it. The way this guy on the show hustles, he would be dead by now. That show needs an Alf Taylor to show them the moves. Johnnyt

It's horribly scripted.

Here is some from the first episode. If you watch the full clip on history channel, you will see the Matt guy with a house cue, then when he shoots(as in my youtube link) he has a two piece, and then when the big guy tosses the cue on the table, he's back to a house cue... Bad editing there. :)

That's the job of the Continuity Manager (Director, Editor, etc). They record everything that's being used, where it is in the scene, and so on. My brother used to do physical production (acquire all the stuff needed for a movie) and he said that Continuity Manager is the most hectic job on a movie set.

Since reality shows are low-budget, they probably don't have a Continuity Manager.

Not for me

I watched my first and last episode last night, it is not for me. I have never got into any reality show as they all appear to be scripted and dumb as a fence post. This one is no different and I won't waste hours out of my life watching them. But, if others like them then have at it. I'm sure I have other things in my life that I devote my time to that really don't do any thing other then bring me some self gratification, such as pool. So with that thought I think I will get the dog and a cup of coffee and go to my table for a reality check on why I'm not a great player.

Nice catch on the cue. It's pretty bad and unrealistic but to the casual player it could be entertaining. I'm not sure why they call them reality shows when there really isn't much real about them. But, what's the old saying? Any publicity is good publicity.

My brother sorta likes the show because he is a long time waterman....the pool? That's just barroom stuff . He saw that kind of riff raff on the dock every day. They didn't last long.
