Modified Tighter Pockets + New Z9 Cloth = New Level of Entertainment!

Whats wrong with a Sharpie Jive??

What do the corner pockets measure at the points??

Looks like 3 3/4"

I think most guys just like the contrasting white..i actually like it too.
I have to say it's not the cleanest marking though
Hmm..or that the mechanics just couldn't be bothered to look for white sharpies or white markers(what we call it here)

I gotta measure the pockets with a ruler and get back to you.

Really?? Every table I've seen in my area uses correction fluid? Even in Shanghai. I thought its pretty much a norm in China. I guess you murdered enough mechanics for news to spread, that's why no one comes to u with correction fluid...I'm pretty sure a lot of them do that in Xiamen too.

I have never seen white markings on any table in Xiamen. I am pretty sure no one here uses that to mark tables. I have seen them use permanent markers here though. In fact when you mentioned it is the first time I have ever heard of anyone anywhere using white-out to mark tables. This is essentially paint that they are putting on your cloth.

I personally do not like permanent markers because they are permanent. Pencil works well and can be reapplied as needed. I have had mechanics mess up with sharpies and that is highly upsetting.

Wow! I thought my connelly 4.25 pockets are tight. My table plays a little tighter than a stock diamond 4.50 i cant imagine how that table plays. Looks about the same as a snooker table. Very nice setup.

Heh perhaps I'm used to it cos I see them around pretty often. They don't make the cleanest lines but they work and well they're permanent.
The fabric sort of absorbs the correction fluid so it doesn't feel stiff at all, in fact I don't feel it when I run my fingers over them white lines.

This is my third day playing on them and I've sort of gotten used to them a little. Lesser balls gets spit out and I'm forced to focus more on shots as opposed to being lazy for some easy shots which is a good thing.

If I weren't half a world away I would come try it out. Looks like fun in a tormenting sort of way.

Dear Jive--

The real question is, "Squash or badminton?" The only squash rackets I have as souvenirs are broken ones.

As for making lines on tables, I think the Europeans use something called "tailor's chalk" to draw the lines for straight rail and balkline.
Supposedly it has the quality of being easily removed from fabric after it has served its purpose.

Well of you ever end up in this world of the world for any obscure reason you know where to find me :) Games and Beers on the house!

Hehe those are badminton racquets that my brother collects. Goes all the way back when Yonex was Yoneyama. Just old Skool classic stuff.

I know those tailors chalk, I use them in my sewing department. They're essentially chalk but just slightly waxier for ease of marking on fabric. They don't stay on long enough if you keep rubbing them.

Playing on your table will get me quitting pool in no time Jive, am on my way to NY , and heading to Amsterdam Billiards to shoot some. When are you gonna head back home huh?

Thats a sexy sexy table. The room i played in used Z9 on one table last yeah, i personally liked it. It held up well and for the most part played the same from new to just before they took it off. towards the end though it became kind not fun to play on as it was just worn out. Good stuff though!!

Who you kidding Daric! You'll love this table and knowing you, you'll be practicing all day.

Dam envious you're heading to NY, was shooting here last month and its one of the best places I've shot at. Environment is just tops!

I haven't been back in SG since CNY earlier this year when I shot with you, I think I'll probably head back during CNY again, I don't know... Anyway when I'm back you'll one of the first to know cos I'll be itching for pool!
