Monroe Jones - Anyone Seen Him Lately?

I had a buddy in Knoxville last weekend who asked if I had heard anything abouot Monroe Jones' health lately. Apparently there was some rumor that something may have happened to him.

I haven't heard anything. Has anyone seen or talked to Monroe in the past few weeks?

Hey Mike. Monroe is a buddy, but I haven't seen him in about 6 months. One of the guys up there asked me, but he said the health concerns were from about 5 years ago. The last I heard a few months ago, Mo moved to Arkansas, and was no longer working with Woodworth. If necessary, I can probably dig up his info somehow. If you find out anything about more recent health concerns, let me know. For those of you who don't know Monroe(aka the fireman), he is a true class act. Was one of my pool heroes growing up. Has a ton of heart, and plays good to boot. If he didn't have so much gamble, he mighta retired from pool 10 years ago.......;)

I had heard that Monroe had died and I was hoping it wasn't true. He is a great guy, easy going and fun to be around. I only gambled with "Opie" once, but he was a gentleman to play and I would like to have the chance to play him again.

If anyone hears anything about Monroe, let us know.
 
If anyone sees him please let him know that some people here (friends) are looking for him.

I used to work with monroe and traveled the country with him for a few years.
A few years ago he went one way and I went to SoCal. I would love to get back in touch.

I talked to him Yesterday he's fine. Just a little out of touch since He's moved to Arkansas. He will be at the Superbowl turney in Memphis this January..
