Moori Medium Equivalent?

In 2012 I used Moori Medium. In 2013 I switched to Kamui brown medium. I can't tell the difference. Both hold their shape well and I only use a pick on it once a month or so.

I don't miscue much with either, but miscuing is actually caused by the player accidentally hitting the table and the cue tip bouncing up into the CB.

most (all?) layered tip mfgs recommend against using a tip pik.

can mess with the glue between layers.

as far as what plays like the old moori medium tips, which, btw, was my absolute favorite for many years until quality went down, I find that kamui black soft plays so close and, in fact, hold their shape for a l-o-n-g time.

It's interesting to see how there are quite a few other tips being mentioned as the closest to an orig moori. Some I haven't played with, some I completely disagree with.

So, like many things in our equipment, it must be a subjective thing.

best,

from my personal experience, I 'd say that the tips which are close to Moori Medium in terms of playability and ability to hold shape are (in no particular order):
- Aramith M
- UltraSkin VS
- Kamui Black S
- Predator Victory M
