More Eye Problems

I had a detached retina and many of you responded and gave me some great information about what to expect.

Now I have a torn retina. Did anyone out there have this experience? I'd appreciate any feed back.

Damn, Tommy. If you're not careful a German Shepard is going to be leading you into a poolroom, before you know it. Lay low for awhile and get that fixed. :smile:
 
Go see a retina specialist ASAP. It will feel like a looking through a curtain, light is dimmer. If the retina isn't re-attached, that piece of tissue may die off and end up as a floater
 
the dimness, if its noticeable during the day, then its a big rip. The damage to mine, after 15 years, is noticeable at night with the lights off. One eye dimmer than the other. You may see technicolor flashes of light

In 1983 I was in a car accident and ended up with a torn retina.

Had laser surgery and it was the easiest surgery I ever had. :smile:

Now after all these years I think it was my left eye that had the surgery,

but at my last eye exam, the doctor thinks it was the right eye.


My eyes were perfect until I got punched in the eye in 1998 and all

the little bones shattered in my eye socket. Now I have a plastic

spoon holding up my eyeball and my eyesight went down hill from there.:frown:
