Just too much time on my hands, any comments on these?

Ralf Souquet & Heinrich Himmler
I removed himmler's photo because of all the hate mail, and also out of respect for Ralf. I didn't think a picture would raise such a commotion! I'm sure you can find your own photo of Himmler if you don't know what he looks like.

Souquet is definitely nazi material.

BTW, Fast Lenny's avatar looks a lot like David Letterman's announcer, Alan Kalter.

Well, I don't know about specifically Heimler, but from the very first time I ever saw Ralf I immediately thought SS officer.

I Rememer 12 yrs. ago I went to the World 9-Ball championship in Vegas. At the time I had long hair and looked a lot like CJ Wiley. I had all sorts of people coming up to me and patting me on the back and wishing me good luck...thinking I was him. It was pretty cool until somebody asked me for my autograph. I actually hesitated and thought about it, but just didn't think it was right. I remember telling myself that this is the closest I will ever feel like a pro and let me tell you....if felt good.

Wow, I really don't know what to say. I mean, was it only a matter of time before someone found an excuse to put Himmler's picture up somewhere on this site?

I have no relatives in Europe because of that man and the man he worked for.

I find no humor in this.

Jude, I'm sure the guy didn't post that with any bad intentions (at least I hope not.) I think perhaps he just noticed the resemblence. I'll be honest, I wouldn't have recognised Himmler but I'm more than aware of who he was. I like the idea of the lookalike pics but I do think a little more care could be taken sometimes when posting them. Sure WW2 was a long time ago but there are still a lot of people around who were & are affected by it.

Also, I'm sure Souquet wouldn't be too happy to see that! A man with so much class alongside something less than human.

For a moment, try to imagine what goes through my mind when I see a thread about lookalikes and the first thing I see is the leader of the Gestapo. And, unfortunately, this would not be the first time something insensitive to Jews has been posted on this board. It's alarming, especially when I visit here in the hopes that we might actually have something to say about pool.

I haven't even gotten into the fact that he compared Jennifer Barretta to a man (which is also not funny). I know her quite well and if there's one thing I can honestly say about her, there is NOTHING masculine about her appearance. Also knowing her, she'd probably laugh it off but I know a lot of women who'd be in tears by such a suggestion.
 
Jude, sorry if I offended anyone. I have no desire to promote the nazis. The resemblence (to Ralf) was just too uncanny to ignore.

Maybe I went too far with Himmler, but as far as Thorston and Jennifer, COME ON, lighten up, it's a joke!

I never said there was a joke about Jews. I said it was insensitive to Jews and no, I'm not going to chill-out. If you do not understand why I find it offensive, back off!
