More proof monsters are living in the Phillipines

What's with the guys hanging on each other like BF/GF.....? Am I the only one who's seen this at the beginning of the video....?

Different culture Rob. Men (and boys) who are friends over there think nothing of walking arm over shoulder down the street. And no they are not gay! But you must really be close to someone to touch them like that. If you are not a close friend they might be offended if you hugged them. I'm very happy now that after all these years, Dennis O. will sometimes put his hand on my shoulder as we are walking together. That is a sign of respect and affection.

As for the women, you will see many twosomes walking down the street hand in hand. All ages young and old do this. It is one more indication of a close personal friendship. Once again it does not mean they are gay. You will definitely know the gays over there. They are easy to spot and not trying to hide their sexuality.

In the Philippines, people are not afraid to show their closeness with someone else. There are no taboos for openly expressing your friendship there, like we often see here. I like the Filipino people and their culture. You will always know where you stand with someone over there. If they like you, you will know it and if they don't you will know that too!

Can you imagine playing in those conditions? They're essentially playing outside under a pavilion-like structure........oh, the humidity:eek: and worn cloth:eek:.

Just think what it would be like the first time one of those monsters came to Vegas and played on a Diamond with brand new cloth, under the light (TV table), AC, and no humidity.

Exactly! When a Filipino pool player first comes over here, it's like they died and went to heaven. They've never seen conditions this good before. After playing on all kinds of tables in various states of repair in the Philippines, the conditions are monumentally better here. It's a pleasure for them to play on good equipment and it's reflected in their game. I've seen all these "hustlers" shown here play, and there aren't a handful of players in America who could match up even with any of them. They all play like Warren or Carlo's speed, evidenced by the last World 9-Ball championship. For every player you see over here, there are several more who play just like him back home. John Morra became a top player after six months battling all the Filipino "shortstops." He definitely paid his dues!

I love watching (and betting) on matches like those you see here. When there is a big match, the word goes all around, and I often jump in a cab and head over there. People are very nice to me and more often then not someone sitting in the front will motion at me to take their seat. It's these little kindnesses that endear them to me.
