Thanks!I believe I fully understand your posts.
I have already stated I think this can be a great aid.

No, I would assume that if I hit where I want to and get the reaction I expect that I could move on to something else. My intent is never to figure out what happens if I hit it wrong. That's a different shot altogether.Do you think that knowing where you are actually hitting it and comparing it to where you want to will help you develop the skill to be more accurate? Would a rifleman not bother looking at his target paper if he can’t hit a bullseye every time?
The point is that a player doesn't need anyone or anything telling him he miss hit the cue ball.
The popular icue training ball and all the coaching around it suggests this is exactly what many players find helpful.
I agree. They can be helpful. Books, training aids, and competent instructors are fine and can speed up the learning process by increasing your knowledge, but practice is the key. An instructor can tell me to hit the cue ball below center to get it to draw, but I can only learn a controlled draw shot by shooting it a thousand times.
Here is a different shot I shot 15 times using the app. As you can see from the yellow dots, this peticular shot I hit consistently. Is this more of what you mean?
More slowly. Informed practice is faster/better.Geez, how did all the champions of today and especially the past ever figure it out? How did they ever learn without all the learning/teaching/practicing gizmos on the market today?
All you MIGHT need is decent video of you playing. Works fine in golf and other games/sports. Golf has gone batshit crazy over hi-tech teaching(pressure plates, launch monitors, etc) and it hasn't lowered the avg. player's handicap one stroke. Do i really need a device to tell me i hit the CB poorly? I can tell pretty quik when that occurs believe me. Whatever floats ur boat, i just don't see the need for it.More slowly. Informed practice is faster/better.

I don’t think you get the point of the thread? You may be reacting without reading.
Thank you for actually answering the question! I appreciate your feedback. So I assume the point is that if it works would people be interested in buying it as an aid to improve. My opinion, in simple terms, is it probably won't do much to help the type of person who would buy it due to a lack of knowledge in other aspects of the game.
The flip side is that the people who do possess that knowledge won't buy it because they know where they hit the CB due to that knowledge.
I will say again, of course this is not something that you need. You don't need any training tool, or low deflection shaft, or an expensive table with perfect pockets, and special chalk, or a car, or a house, or a family or your left arm, etc.All you MIGHT need is decent video of you playing. Are you the inventor of DigiCue and DigiCue BLUE?I will say again, of course this is not something that you need. You don't need any training tool, or low deflection shaft, or an expensive table with perfect pockets, and special chalk, or a car, or a house, or a family or your left arm, etc.
The question is, if you already have a practice routine, will this product add value to your routine? Some people say yes, some people say no. Some don't care where they hit the cue ball as long as they get a good outcome (results-based players) and some like to know the details (process-based players). Which category do you put yourself?
-- Also, be careful not to fall into the mentality of "others and myself have struggled hard to achieve a goal, and how dare anybody else have an easier time getting there than us." This is human nature.

Oh my lord.Well, that answers a lot. You made the statement in your last entry 'Some don't care where they hit the cue ball as long as they get a good outcome.' If you were an acomplished pool player, you wouldn't have said that. Every good player knows that 'position' is the 'name of the game', and playing good position can only be accomplished by cue ball control, and that means hitting the cue ball precisely in the right place. If players don't care 'where they hit the cue ball', they might as well quit playing and spend their money on lottery tickets.
