Well. It's all on now.

I heard somewhere that there has been a tie in past Mosconi cups. Mathematically it could end 10-10. What happens then??? How are the players paid?? Do they play a sudden death?

I am not sure but I think all the players are paid equally just for being there. This is all about pride and country.

And yes they have had a tie before which is silly.
 
In event of a tie 10-10, there is one more singles match. Captains pick.

I had to go to league this afternoon/night.

How did day three end? When I had to shut the stream down JA had just come back and beat NVB hill-hill to make it a 6-6 tie.

The U.S. lost the final 3 matches: 4-5, 2-5, 0-5 and now trails 6-9 in matches.
 
The MC use to pay 10k to each of the winning team and 7.5k to the losers. I think the winners get 7.5k now. Johnnyt

I thought there was a tie some years back and the USA retained the cup because they won it the year before? Did they change the tie rules? Heck, maybe I was drunk and imagined the whole thing.

You are correct. It was 2006 it ended in a tie 12- 12 and the U.S. retained because we had won it before. Which means we need to win straight out this year...

Yeah, I think C.J. messed up. It could be over before Johnny gets back into the ring. You've got to start day 4 with your best players when you're playing catch-up.

If the US doesn't send out Johnny first and Shane second then they are clueless.

Anytime a team is way down entering the final day, you have to topload the lineup, much like Europe did in the Ryder Cup. If you can win the first couple of matches then it sends a message to the rest of the team that there is still a chance.

If they put some of the struggling players first then Shane and Johnny might not even get to shoot and the cup will be over.

If I were Europe I might send Van Den Berg out first because I know he's looking for redemption against Johnny and that's who I would figure would go out first. Then I'd send Niels out second. I'd either send Daz out 3rd to probably win the Cup if the first 2 matches are split, or put Europe on the hill if the US wins the first 2. Nick the greek 4th and Melling in the 5th spot.
