Mosconi Cup 2019 Day 2 (26 Nov)

Shane breaks wet in rack 5 and pushes out. Filler opts to shoot and plays a terrific safe. SVB safes back on Josh and Josh makes the kick but leaves a shot. Shane runs out to pull within 4-1. Filler to break in rack 6.

Filler is an ass. I don't care if you want to be a cheerleader, but if you can't acknowledge your opponent first before you start pounding your chest and gesturing to the crowd about how great you are, then you can go suck a tailpipe somewhere.

Yep, great playing by Filler, and he's still an ass.

Not gonna lie, the Americans look rattled starting yesterday in Match 3 all the way thru Match 6. That was about as bad as SVB can play.... both shots missed he makes 98-100 times.

Not getting much in the way of rolls either.

But, all it takes is one match to turn the momentum, so maybe we beat their best 2 players in this doubles match coming up. Gotta believe !!

Filler breaks dry in rack 6 and Shane has a good look at the one. Plays nice shape form the two to the three but hangs the three and this might spell the end. Filler’s only tester will be the six but he manages it well and the rest is easy. Filler wins 5-1.

Team Europe leads the Mosconi Cup 4-2.

Good news for Team USA, that’s the last they will see of Filler in singles matches until Day 4. Bad news: it may not matter.

No doubt, if history serves, someone will try to attribute what's going on here to the rolls, but the truth is that Filler, to my recollection, made zero mistakes against Thorpe and zero mistakes against SVB. Both his offense and his defense have been exquisite. He looks every bit the WPA #1 player in the world, and his presence casts a big shadow over Team USA's chances.

Team USA must gather itself and turn this around before it's too late.

" if you can't acknowledge your opponent first" - WTF are you taking about. You can't celebrate before going over for the pointless hand "shake".

Kind of wishing the stream would cut out, lol.

I hear ya-With all the breaks and they aren't even commercials most of the time-Just irrelevant stats to the Cup-WTF?-Im actually watching more real TV than the MC! This production may knock the event down a few rungs on the prestige ladder.

Yes, that's exactly what I am talking about. The fact that you think the handshake is pointless speaks volumes, so I wouldn't expect you to understand.

Now if the US celebrates immediately after their win, if they win again, are you going to call them out too? Do you understand?

You guys really can't recognize that it is mostly about breaks and layouts? even when shane got a clear inning on the one ball the layout was horrible!, Filler got lucky twice in his singles, look at the layouts + the breaks, not just the breaks.

Absolutely! And I do the same thing with my league team members if they don't acknowledge their opponent before looking for ata-boys from their teammates. It's called respect.

Match 7 is underway, Filler/Shaw vs SVB/Bergman, and Europe will break in rack 1. Filler breaks wet and Shaw has a good look at the one. The runout isn’t too tough, and Europe makes no mistake about it to take an 1-0 lead.

Bergman breaks wet in rack 2 and leaves SVB a great look at the one. The runout should be routine here, and Team USA runs out without breaking a sweat to tie the match at 1-1.
