Everyone thinks they can do it better when pros miss. Reality is just the table would humble 90+% of the pool world even without the crowd, pressure, and competition.

This year has shown that anyone* can win a short race format. Just look at Fedor and SVB. They're marathoners that will beat you worse the longer you go. A roll or two for/against in a race to 5 can flip a set really quick. That said, i love the race to 5 format. Keep the stakes and pressure high. Just great stuff all around.(y)(y)

What's cringe is how comfortable you guys are, commenting on how she dresses. The thing is.. This is 2024, and women should be able to dress in a way that makes "them" feel comfortable, without having to constantly deal with sexist comments about it.

I'm commenting on how she looks, and her lack of subject matter knowledge. Which, yes, is probably a bit superficial.
 
I mean Jesus... It seems like Team America is basically helpless with the safety game, unless things are dead obvious. Billy doesn't come anywhere close to safe, leaving Alcaide a completely open table, with the cue ball nowhere close to another ball, and nice, comfortable bridging.

He had to rely on an egregious open ball miss to win that game.

Okay.. so clarify that, then. What issue do you have with "how she looks"?? And which woman are you specifically referencing? I saw the redhead, and her dress pretty much goes up to her neck, and she has an interesting, B-52s type vibe. Little bit of legs showing, but nothing crazy. The other is in a white dress. Shows a "bit" of cleavage, and that's pretty much it.

I literally don't see anything in either's outfit that warrants any comment whatsoever. And I see it as a bit skeevy that anyone feels comfortable commenting negatively on either one, if I am gonna be honest.

She looks like she is dressed up for a freaking 70's costume party, she always does. It comes across to me as having zero respect for the game and making a joke out of it. It isn't the cleavage, it is the lack of decorum. I'm talking about the redhead. I don't like seeing "ring girls" either. Is it a freaking strip show, or a pool match?
 
yea kind of agree with JJ and scott that europe have gotten the better leaves / rolls after the break. i think FSR and david have had really good cb control though. getting cb close to center table increases your chances for a look

Sigh. Some of you people are stuck in decades-old thinking. The Mosconi Cup is one of the few financially successful televised pool-centric events in the past 20-30 years.. And people like you want to rewind the clock.

Here's a clue.... That image of pool you have? Doesn't sell. You have this idea stuck in your head that this arena is somehow "hallowed ground", when the entire point of it is the spectacle, with the crazy outfits and face paint of those in the crowd, drawing in people who otherwise WOULD NOT WATCH POOL. Yeah.. Let's totally have the ladies dressing in 1950's secretary pool attire. THAT'S how we grow pool.

You... Represent an aging American pool playing populace that dreams of going back to smoky pool halls with no music, no TVs... Just pool, mister. That ain't the market Matchroom is going for. And they would be absolute, utter morons if they catered to such a crowd.
