The behavior of the US fans at Bethpage this year was WAAAAAAAAAY worse than anything these limey pool fans are doing. I hope the RC never goes back to NY. They actually hit Rory's wife in the head with a thrown full beer. The MC shit is tame by comparison.
Comparing this deal to the snooker world championship is laughable. A more accurate comparison would be conduct during the USOpen which is fine. This is no championship.
Filler and Van Boening have played 6 singles matches in the Mosconi Cup, with Filler winning all but the most recent:

It was very disgraceful. But it was an isolated incident. Never been like that before at a RC. Hopefully never again.
The RC has gotten out of hand the last few years. Bethpage was the worst by far, with drunk NY sportsfans it was really no surprise.
100%. All I'm asking for is MR to control the crowd as they done throughout the history of the MC.
Have the fans shut up while the shooter in down on the ball and until the ball leaves the tip.
It's laughable for those who sit back and pretend that the Euros are so much better than the Americans at concentrating and executing under the crowd noise.
If they can't see the thumb on the scale I can't help them.
In my opinion, as someone that's been religiously watching every year for over a decade, I don't see anything that has changed in the MC. The atmosphere has always been the same, since back in the day, even when I was in the building. The only thing different that I saw was them purposely sharking Tyler on the two 9-balls. Everything else was on par to what I see every year.
Don't see why everyone is making a fuss. This is the only time I can actually get my wife to watch pool, because it's exciting. All the other times she says it's boring as heck.
I can't be mad at something that is only once a year and meant to be a spectacle, as opposed to the hundreds of tournaments a year with no audience watching and you can hear a pin drop. We get those all the time. Why can't we have both?

Sports players get criticized all the time for missing a free throw or a field goal kick, but Tyler is exempt?
It's meant to be viewed as entertainment. Even if USA wins, that will not convince me that USA players are better than Europe. That's not what this is. It's not about who is better, it's about who can hold it together on the biggest stage of all, with the most eyes on them. That is the entertainment factor. And Tyler delivered on that part. I was thoroughly entertained by his misses.

This is the Mosconi Cup. This is exactly the atmosphere that we need.
In any other individual tournament, sure, keep the crowd banter to a minimum. But in a team event like this with this much history, let the crowd make some noise. Yes, even while down on the shot.
I believe the refs were actually instructed by MR to accept some crowd noise while down the shot that simply raises the noise floor. I'm pretty sure the refs wouldn't tolerate any abrupt shouting or whistling that could audibly stand out right when the shooter is down on the shot.
I love the crowd noise. And no, I won't get off your lawn.
Bethpage was so far over the top is can't be compared to any other RC.

If crowd noise is such an issue, then perhaps maybe the players should be allowed to wear noise cancellation devices or sound blocking devices to reduce the problem.
If everyone that's all butthurt over this would contact Matchroom with their opinions they just might listen. Just whining about it on a open forum really is akin to pissin in a 30mph headwind. IMO MR loves every minute of the lunacy filled crowds.
The only people that should be crying are the ones who paid $thousands of dollars to fly there and buy VIP seats. If they didn't have a good time, then they can submit their grievances to Matchroom and hopefully something gets changed.

Watching the Mosconi live is so much better than watching it on TV.
I've been to all of the days and the event is a massive success.
No other event in pool can compare to the Mosconi.
and as it happens two of them have chimed in and described the traumatic incident with much less traumatic wording. but why read when you can just write, the same thing over again
ref didn't manage to check the crowd one time and people go mental over it.
