Mosconi Cup GCV pockets look huge!!

Ralf broke hill hill and the 5 ball hit at a decent angle two diamonds away from the corner pocket and still went in.

Karl back cut the 6 ball in, same game, and it hit at a very good angle a diamond away and still went in.

wow....

My guess is 5" pockets.

Can anyone verify the size??

New cloth. Lots of slide. 10 more hours of play should eat some of that slop up.

That 6 ball was hit at MAXUIM pocket speed. It should not of gone in. I think its the new cloth that allowed that to happen.

Overall i think the pockets are 4 1/2" They look plenty tough especially if Rodney jawed a routine 3 rail follow shot.

I saw that shot and can't believe that it went in. Seriously, how did the ball fall?

I believe they are 4 1/2". The brandnew cloth makes them play a bit more forgiving.

I'd be surprised if you could fit 2 balls into the corner. I'm guessing just under that which might be 4 3/8".

Good point on the new cloth!!

I put new Simonis 860 on my table recently and a ball rolled length of the table would hit the end rail and slide back with no spin at all for about two diamonds!!

Thanks,

Russ...

b i/g" pockets + slippery cloth = hu g/e" pockets!

Making 'em aint the problem - holding the snow is the order of the day.

They are probably on Tourney Edition GC V's. They come with 4-9/16th pockets.

You can't possibly know how easy or difficult a pocket is by just quoting the pocket width.
The throat angle and shelf distance can change whether a ball falls or not. Two tables could have pocket widths that are half an inch different, yet still play the same because of the other dimensions.
