A 2 horse race for me....

It was between John Schmidt and Donnie Mills for me. I ended up voting for John because of a longer track record, i.e., more experience in bigger events. A more seasoned pro. Donnie most assuredly has a very hot stick right now, but I know J.S. can make as big an impact for our team as anyone in American pool today.

PLUS...he writes some of the most candid & funny posts ever! Remember the infamous "mountain goat" quote?:grin:

PS-I believe Shannon Daulton deserved to be on the list.

I'm voting for Donnie Mills. It was a very tough vote, with John Schmidt and Rodney Morris as very close seconds. Donnie's on fire, and he's hungry. His open play was extraordinary and he lost the last two matches hill-hill with the rolls going against him.

Go Donnie

team usa needs to regain the arrogance that has made us loved worldwide. the kind of confidence in themselves that only americans seem to have. the kind that when facing your greatest rival, you smile at em and ask to double the bet after getting ran over. the way a young "ether" wore a shirt saying the world has the 8... and meant it.

my choices are hatch, mills, and schmidt. my choices are by what they have done in recent memory. hatch took on the heavily favored 10 ball champ. he then proceeded to show appleton the hatchet man pimp smack. donny mills went to the hill with two of the greatest tourny players the game has seen, on pool's biggest stage the U.S. open. schmidt has been to the mountain top and seems to have the most experience in competing with the worlds best.

thats why im voting stevie moore lol. to tough to pick.
