Not sure why all these players are so against playing side to side safes...

Gotta agree that the commentary is really awful. Jerry doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference between easy shots, hard shots, and impossible shots.
Maybe they have a bad view of the table, but still.
Agreed, some of his calls show that he doesn't understand some basic physics of pool. Great talker, but as others have said, they need an expert commentator.Gotta agree that the commentary is really awful. Less is more seems to be a good way to go. If you don`t have anything clever to say - shut up...Watch a match on YouTube in silent with a buddy and you try to comment on it and predict the cue all paths and safety play... There are very few people who are good at commenting on pool in the world.... Because it's very very difficult.

Of course, very few can predict what pros will play. It takes a pro-level player to do that. Jim Wych was a pro snooker player and does ok when he predicts shots, but he rarely takes that role. Even if he did, he hasn't the experience of a pro 9 baller.Watch a match on YouTube in silent with a buddy and you try to comment on it and predict the cue all paths and safety play...
