Hi, I'm not a professional photographer and my pics are taken with a simple automatic digital camera and some are a little blurry since I had to take the flash off and only so much can be done, but I thought I share a little ;)

York Hall - The venue:

Nate DuMoulin (RunOut Media), Mark Griffin (CSI) and Jerry F... I'm pretty sure they are NOT talking about pool:p

3/5 Team USA in the practice room, practicing the break. Once again, 9 Ball is placed on the spot and total of 3 balls must be pocketed or cross the head string in order to be a 'legal' break.

I don't know the story behind this pic, but it's posted in the European practice room.

The first round is team scotch event and everyone feels the pressure to come with it.

Sunny, thank you very much for the pictures. I hope you are having fun. Your photos are great. Keep 'em coming! :)

Although, fans and players played up to TV and taunted each teams viciously, when each player stepped off the playing arena fans loved American players as much as Europe players.
004.jpg

Micheala Tabb one of the most recognized & respected pool referee proved once again why she is where she is today. She had the total control of entire match and even the mob of rowdiest fans failed silent when she raised her hand to signal "quiet". During first night, some fans didn't get her signal cheered for Europe when an American player was on ready position to shoot with only 10 seconds remaining of the 30 second time clock. She announced "Restart the clock!" and additional 30 seconds were added to that player. It only took once or twice more after that time and from then on it only took a glance from her and the crowd fail silent;)

Some of her quotes with attitude was just too priceless.
So, soon after when she started to look at a section or raised her hand, crowd would start shushing at them. It must had annoyed her because she shouted... "If you don't mind, I will do the shushing, thank you!"

At the end, when Europe was about to win, crowd kept getting louder and louder, once again she squished them like a fly and said, "This is Corey's time and we don't have time for this non-sense!"

Team Europe celebrating their win. Darren A. on the table dancing, Karl B. wearing the lid to the cup, Team Europe's non-playing captain John (last name?), Nick Vandenburghe and (gosh I almost said Daryle Peach again) Ralf Souquet.

It wasn't a surprise when Darren Appleton was announced MVP of the team. IMO, Ralf Souquet was the backbone of the Team Europe and carried the burden as expectedly, and without a question Ralf played his game start to finish which is always consistent and flawless. But it was Darren's charisma that lifted teams spirit and always came up with the most impressive shots & kicks with with some roles to pull them out of jam. Darren most certainly deserved this honor.

Pres really loved this pose and it was like a disco hall with all the flash bulbs:)

After the Mosconi Cup, went out for Indian food. (Nathan D. Raj H. & his beautiful Mrs) Raj was able to help me order their most "spicy" dish and the staff came out one by one to watch me eat it and of course, they got a kick out of my Tabasco Sauce when I pulled it out of my purse- just in case, LOL.

Each of American team received a Silver Medal and back side of the medal engraved with date & location.

Tony Drago was hilarious and cracked us all up. He really loved American steak and told us how he gotten a blood clot on his leg las time he was in US because he had 15 steaks in 19 days!!!
