Mosconi team without Shane

What I would propose is for next years team to consist of Johnny Archer, Rodney Morris, Justin Bergman, Skyler Woodward and Oscar Dominguez. What would everybody think of that team?

I wouldn't watch if that were our team. I'd rather go fresh/young.

Apologies to SVB and Dechaine who play bad in the Mosconi over and over. Yes, these are our two most successful tournament players, but this isn't where they shine.

I don't understand just picking random people. No real team sport on earth just says "I'm taking these guys". They all practice/train both individual and team skills then run them as close as possible in game conditions. Then they choose the best performers to put on the field.

If people want to view it as a competition then it should be treated like one. As it is now its an All Star exhibition and the US sucks at it. So either we accept we suck at the Cup format and keep trying random combinations of individuals or change the approach and actually try to win.

Ridiculous to exclude the best player, by far, in North America and one of the top 3 in the world. And by the way Mike beat Ralf Souquet (s) in the Mosconi cup in his first appearance.
There is not a player on either team that can stay with Shane.

Why? The team situation isn't for everyone. Tiger woods is the greatest golfer to play the game. Check out his Ryder cup performances...no where near his normal level of play. How many easy outs do we have to watch Shane blow unti we realize the team situation just isn't his thing.

I have noticed Mike and Rodney seem to be in good spirits this year and Rodney has 2 of the 3 wins for USA.

I wouldnt be surprised if Shane bows out next year or does something drastic to fix the problem - I know this is killing him.
