I used to play with the first 8 ivory point cue Paul Mottey made, then traded it away. Haven't seen it pop up, but when I'm lonely, I can see it in the Gallery on Proficient Billiards.
I currently play with a nice Zac ($750) or my Mottey ($2800). But always looking for a new toy.

Playing Cues:
My everyday Player is a Cognoscenti ("B" above) that I purchased from a friend in 1999. Very dark Cocobolo with 3 "clouded maple" floating points + Sterling silver lines, ovals. and arrowpoints. Black/red spec Irish Linen wrap (VERY tight). Did some horse-trading, so I didn't actually pay for it. Current retail $3250 per Joe Gold.
I have played extensively with my friend' s other Cognoscenti ("A" above): Ebony with Ivory, Turquoise, Malachite, and Sterling Silver inlays. Current retail $5250
Due to my friend's health problems (he physically cannot play). His cue is currently for sale here for considerably less:http://www.ncsdc.com/TEMP/cue/index.html
I will be bringing it to Valley Forge- for anyone interested.
Cue "C" above is a custom- made by WilleeCue of Corpus Christi, Texas. I wanted to have a cue built for my wife- that emulated my Cognoscenti. Cocobolo, Tiger Maple, Micharta- ring dashes, lines, ovals and arrowpoints. She does not like a wrap- so it has a coated black wrap. G-10 pin, It hits great and the workmanship is first-rate.
Special deal- you'll have to ask Willee how much one like it is.
Cue "D": Huebler H-6 (Renaissance series? circa 1989)- Wife's old cue- used as a break-cue. Rosewood, water-buffalo tip. a Whopping $106 retail
Not Shown: Willee will be modifying my 1983 Huebler H-14 that was broken in a tragic billiards accident! It will receive a new Prather Ebony forearm with 4-Birdseye points and blue, green, and red verneers. Inlays will be "Old-School" Slotted Diamonds and Dots. Final design has not been determined. But I drew this.... Price? Don't care... I want what I want... and to me, it will be priceless.
