Most Powerful Stroke...Deuel?

I wasn't acting anything. That assumes I am stretching the truth, and I certainly wasn't saying it is an easy shot, it is an advanced shot, but makable by decent players with a few attempts. It is only a percentage shot for a few top players.

My whole point is that, lovely shot as it is, it isn't proof of amazing power. I guess it was hit about as hard as a firm break shot (20mph), but played with a lot of draw. No technical reason why most decent players can't make that same shot.

Most players would struggle for accuracy with this level of power, especially when playing the CB very low. But give them enough tries and they'll make it sooner or later.

IMO - Any player who couldn't make that shot with 10 attempts on the same speed table, doesn't have much of a power game.

The shot is makeable? Really wow I didn't know that.

Most pros wouldn't be able to make that shot. I'm saying that the shot requires a powerful stroke (which is the whole point of this thread), and you are saying that all you have to do is hit it hard, and that people who can't make this shot don't play decent. I was being appreciative of the shot Corey made, and you come in here with your snooty attitude acting like it's nothing. That's why I'm asking you to put your ego aside just for a minute and prove that you can play, since all anyone knows about you is that The One stomped you into the ground. Post up some videos of you doing some power shots and teach us a thing or two.

I'm not trying to fight with you LastTwo. I was simply stating that the shot he played doesn't require extreme power. It is still one of the most spectacular shots I have seen on video.

I have never made a video, nor am I familar with the software required to spend a couple of days hard work trying to prove a point to you.

As for TheOne, I was being complimentary and humble. Heck, the guy just came over from placing 3rd in Korea and I'm lucky to hit the balls once a week, with a rack cue, taking turns at the local bar. Of course he's gonna play better than me.

I haven't played seriously for 5 years or so. I've played a couple of tourneys in that time. The Tokyo 9-ball $800k event where I lost 10-11 to a guy who made the last 64. I made last 16 in one of Australia's biggest 8-ball events 2 years ago when I travelled back for a holiday, that surprised me.

I've placed 6th in the nationals before and made the last 8 in Australia's biggest ever pool tournament. I'm no champion and don't have a list of decent sounding titles, but I can play the game pretty well if I have to.

Anyway, don't get your nappies in a knot and stop mis-quoting me. You're welcome to quote the exact things I say, but saying that I've been snooty and acting like Cory's shot is nothing, is either disingenuous or you are letting your emotions read something into my words that is not there.

Attenton Drivermaker! : Now see what you've done....turning everyone against me making them think I'm a black-board know-it-all!! :p :D

Corey and Strickland have the best strokes out there.

Both of these two player have something in common. Really Long stroke for power! Corey if you notice, he holds the cue always at the butt of power strokes. I mean really far back on the cue.

I wonder if Corey can do those shot without a Predator shaft?

On the topic of stroke, have any of you seen the Semih Seyginer (sp) video? that man may have the most powerful stroke on the planet! He does a billiard demo that is outta this world...G
