So then, what does that say about Cuetec??? If I remember correctly, I believe Earl won more than a few tournaments with a CT.

It says Earl was pretty much in his Prime and got paid if he won or not so he was able to free wheel with little pressure. He also played with Meucci shafts on his CueTec for a while according to Bob.
