Unfortunately it was not. The reception and data in that room we played out of is really bad. I love Barbox 8ball. I won 25-10. I ran 4 and a 5 pack in there and multiple 2's. Was on a Diamond 7fter.

BTW, Berle was in town to appear on Minnesota Fats, 'Celebrity Billiards,' where He did play Fats 3C and took a thumping.

A $1. One time I put my money in and the table released the balls but didnāt eat the Loonie. I call that a win.
My first win for money was a six pack of Michelob at closing time in the H bar B bar in Oakdale CA. The Cowboy Capital of the World. It was closing time and I was broke. Found out the bet after I broke the rack playing Doubles (with the gal that made the bet) against the bulldog record holders. That really brought my focus and my first win for money. Ever! Broke and ran.

back in 90Ā“s I was almost visiting Helsinki 3 weeks and I was almost broke and going home next day. I got about 70 marks(old finnish money before euro) probably worth about 50-60ā¬ today.
I went old billiard hall and they played there winner stays on table 5 mark games. I won almost 100 before they drove me off.
Then clock was 4pm and good poolhall close by open it doors. It was friday and place was packed. I got 50mark games race to 7. Won 4 and then another guy came to challenge me 200 game. and so on. Always someone come ask me play bigger game and last match was 1000 some Canadian guy. Ended up being drunk and almost 4000 cash(at 4 am)

Not to 1 up your story but I have a very similar experience.
Couple years ago I'm dead broke with enough gas in my car and food at home to get me by for a few days.
Hanging around the pool hall I asked my buddy to barrow a dollar.
Played $1 lags and got up $5
Then $5 lags and got up $20
Then $20 1pkt until I got up $680
What a night that was.
