Most $ you've won in one day?

Sadly, I think most of the guys I matched up with were smarter than me. I'm guessing I won 70-80% of all my match ups, but all those guys were smart enough to unscrew when they realized they were in a bad game. Me, on the other hand, never quit until I was out of ammo (no matter how bad the game was). Over a lifetime of this, I'm guessing I'm close to even dollar wise. Great fun along the way though!

Anyway, my best day came against some guy that didn't know what end of the cue to hit the ball with. He came into the poolhall on a day I was down quite a bit and still in a bad ring game (told ya I don't unscrew). He announced that he wanted to play and didn't care for how much. I took a big chance, dropped out of my bad ring game to play him 14.1. I can't recall what we played for ($100 or 200). But he kept playing and we doubled up a few times. He played so bad I stopped playing safes and basically just went for everything. Seriously, I don't think he could average a 10-ball run if he started after a rotation break. I can't recall what I won because I was down quite a bit from my bad ring game. I'm guessing he must have been a drug dealer to blow so much money without seeming to care (it was in the 80s when that was a lot of money).

January 1995 I won $1200 in won day or day and a half won a 8 ball tournament and Calcutta.$860. Tournament was over at like 1 am. And then drove home slept for about 3 hours and got up and fished a club bass tournament. Freezing cold. I caught 1 bass all day long in the first 30 minutes of blast off and won first place and big fish with one Bass weighing 5.15lbs which got me $340. I remember telling my dad I was going to quit my job and play pool and fish for a living, he laughed at me and said I would starve to death.

What's the most cash you've won in one day?

Not in a tournament but gambling.

For me it was $1,000 playing one pocket
We started at $20 a game and he kept doubling it 😂
I won 18k in the online casino. Playing pool I’m down more than that.🤤🤤🤤😂😂😂

Honestly most I’ve won gambling on pool was probably $300. Never played for over $100 a set really. But we have Friday fight nights here that start at $500. One day I will win one of those. Have one scheduled for March. Only problem with that one is it’s against a 665, playing even, and that’s probably why I’m down so much over the course.🤞🤞

Shhhhhh....

$10. I don’t gamble, but I will play $5 sets. I have one friend I’ve been playing for a few years. I am stronger at 9B and he is stronger at 1P. We’ll play 3 sets of 9B to warm up, which I usually win and then play 1P for $5/game which he usually wins. That same $5 has been going back and forth for quite some time.

Without any prior agreements, I’ll play anybody straight up. If they other player dominates, I pay the table time. That is a courtesy.

When I played, it was an unspoken rule that winner always paid the time. Sometimes time was more than you won...but you had to pay it anyway and laugh it off. I've played guys where we broke even and when I go up to pay my time my opponent already got it for me. Classy thing to do.

I won a case of Schlitz cans playing Scotch Doubles with my little Step-Brother at Gregs Tavern in Quincy, PA. I was 15 my Step-Brother 11. We obviously didn't get to enjoy the fruits of our labor, but being Schlitz, I doubt anyone else did either. Brian.

Here, the loser always pays for the table/light fee and they would literally fight you for it if you tried to pay as the winner :ROFLMAO:

In China, who pays for things really matters a lot more than anywhere else I've ever been (I hate the customary who pays for dinner play fight - but if you sit back, and don't at least offer you're a jerk. It's like imagining you're at a family meal, you know your grandad will foot the bill, hell he probably gave them his card before the meal started, but if you don't offer you're rude).

As a winner, if you tried to pay you'd have the same silly play fight over it, and you'd probably come off looking like an ass if you succeeded. It'd be hard to pay before the other guy anyway, as normally, they shout to the clerk from the table "refresh the light, it's on me"

Most I won in a day is around $3k when converted, I did not end the day leaving with that much... but then I am more than a little green behind the ears when it comes to playing for money. Have enjoyed my experiences so far.
