Sadly, I think most of the guys I matched up with were smarter than me. I'm guessing I won 70-80% of all my match ups, but all those guys were smart enough to unscrew when they realized they were in a bad game. Me, on the other hand, never quit until I was out of ammo (no matter how bad the game was). Over a lifetime of this, I'm guessing I'm close to even dollar wise. Great fun along the way though!
Anyway, my best day came against some guy that didn't know what end of the cue to hit the ball with. He came into the poolhall on a day I was down quite a bit and still in a bad ring game (told ya I don't unscrew). He announced that he wanted to play and didn't care for how much. I took a big chance, dropped out of my bad ring game to play him 14.1. I can't recall what we played for ($100 or 200). But he kept playing and we doubled up a few times. He played so bad I stopped playing safes and basically just went for everything. Seriously, I don't think he could average a 10-ball run if he started after a rotation break. I can't recall what I won because I was down quite a bit from my bad ring game. I'm guessing he must have been a drug dealer to blow so much money without seeming to care (it was in the 80s when that was a lot of money).
