In about 4 weeks I will need to break down a table and move it 30 miles and then reset it up.The cloth is 1 year old and 1 of the bumpers is out of line.
Can anyone give me a price on what this should cost me.The cloth is Simonis 860 with no tears.
Thanks for any imput.

I would get several estimates and then go with the one you feel the best about, expect to pay $300-$500 using the same cloth, prices vary and so does the quality of work. Good Luck.

Is it a 7,8, or 9ft table? Is it a piece of junk, or a quality table? Are there stairs involved leaving your house? Are there stairs involved in the next location? Bumper is out of line?, please explain. Is the slate 3/4", 7/8", 1, 1 3/16", or 2"? Are the rails ring rails, or 6 individual rails?

In other words, a little more information would be helpful when asking how much something is going to cost, instead of asking someone to guess in the blind.

PS. I've gone out to move pool tables before, then when I got there...I turned down the job, for the reason that the time involved didn't equal the pay!

Why not tear it down and move it yourself and save some money.
If you're not comfortable with reassembly you can hire someone to do that part.

Table moving

I guess I could tear it down myself but it awfull heavy. Its a 9ft. table with 11/2 slate it has individual bumpers. One of the long bumpers is crooked.in other words if you go for a long rail shot it always pushes the ball away from the corner pocket. There are no stairs in either house. The table is probably 40 years old and made of Maghony,so its not junk.2 years ago I had it delivered and new cloth and bumpers installed and it cost $657.00 and it wasnt done correctly. From house to house is 28 miles.I still might try to do it myself but Physically I am not really up to it.If there is a mechanic in the area that wants to make some money he should get in touch.

Hey bob. Two businesses come to mind G&R Billiards ( okeechobee and Haverhill, WPB), and Boynton Billiards ( Okeechobee and I-95 area, also in Boynton on Federal Hwy). I would check both for price comparison.

I do not know any table mechs working on their own. Just a note if you did not know the area.
