Mr. John Barton playing pool in "California Billiards" in Mountain View ????

Today met Mr. John Barton at the local pool hall and took some pictures of him playing pool:thumbup: It was very nice to talking with you Mr. John Barton.

Hey Kenny.. glad you grabbed a camera because I totally forgot I had mine! John was really nice and showed us some super cool cases. Including Wille Hoppe's original personal case. John sure knows a ton of history on cases and craftsmanship. It was a lot of fun getting to meet him. He shoots a pretty sporty 9 ball game too!
 
Sneaky sneaky, I didn't know you were taking pics. :-) At least no one saw me beating up the rails.

It was a real pleasure to spend time with you, Rex and Tony today. Wish I could have seen the case you saw in the other thread - looks like it would hold up well in a bar fight :-)

Thank you very much for the heads up Kenny and if there were any way I could have been there you know I would have. I rerally missed a fine opportunity to meet a true craftsman. Michael had to work or I diffently would have made it. Well, maybe next time. I'm getting old and the next times are running out for me, but I will make the best of them.

My bad I was the one that arranged picking up John at the airport and it was somewhat a short notice type of deal. John promised me that he will try to stay a couple of days extra next time, when comes down to our neck of the woods. I'll make sure we can set some type of dinner or something so we can all share some stories...
