Yup, not many ever get to say they beat SVB and Shaw back-to-back, let alone by a combined score of 18-6. When Earl is at his best, it's absolutely amazing to watch his confidence and the ease in which he runs out. Never seen anyone else play THAT well and THAT confident. Makes everything look easy.

And it's not like he hasn't learned a but in the last 25 years either. He seems to move the cue ball shorter distances, he seems to have expanded his game beyond the physicality of the late 80s/early 90s.
The changes in equipment also helped.

I'm convinced if Earl leaves his long cue and go back to default he might play OK again, I am not saying he'll play perfect cause of his age ofcourse, but he'll do better with normal length cue.
Plus why is he shooting with j flowers CF? I tried the j flowers CF, it doesn't even feel like a CF. He should try Cuetec CF, or REVO.

He has alternated between long and short cues over the past 13 years or so and if anything, he’s played better with the long cue

I think they are playing to 90. Alcano is up 60-59.
Looks like they aren't playing mandatory safe or push off the break

I liked that rule. I wouldn't want it for all matches, but it's a nice variation.
how did it end up? When I just clicked on it, they have a different match up
alcano won 90-78 and they cut the sound from the ensuing post-match monologue
