Muecci black dot shaft??

the shaft seems to buckle when you have to stroke through the ball. if you gotta pound a shot to make the most of your angle the shaft is more likely to give out on you.the extra spin is all well and good until you don't want it.

i recommend staying away from them. everything meucci makes is garbage.

Bought one hit like a hard broom stick. was not nearly the low deflection that was claimed. sold it and went to OB products which I love. just recently switched to a Classic from the OB1 and really like the hit.

I had a red dot and a black dot shaft, I played with the BD for 2 months and stuck it back in the case and continued with the RD until I bought my first Predator SP with a 314 shaft. Now I play only with a Z2 shaft and never looked back. The BD was way too whippy and from what I heard are designed to do that for LD. I really like the hit of a OB Classic Pro but can't afford one right now. I don't agree BD's are garbage, I loved the taper, I just didn't like the whippy feel. Everyone has different opinion's and way they like their cues to hit. Try one for yourself, someone in the poolhall has to have one.

Ok, here's my take on it. I dunno, cause it cost more than 28 bucks. :D

I have a Meucci cue. I think its a 97-15 or something, I got it about 15 yrs ago off the for sale rack at a pool room I had. But I have a very special shaft for it now. It cost me 28 bucks on Ebay. I put it on my American Cowboy makeshift lathe....

lengthen the taper to about 17 or so inches with sandpaper, put a Triangle tip on for a buck change, and play.

I seriously think if you just play pool, you'll get used to playing with no matter what you use, and so many of these crazy shafts are nothing more than gimmicks. But that's just me. :)

I've owned the black dot as well as the red dot for about 4yrs back in '03, the black dot was only slightly less deflective compared to a standard maple shaft, I personally preferred the red dot over the black dot, because the red dot had a stiffer hit IMO. That being said meucci low deflection is junk compared to gcore, let Alone predator, or OB..

you don't agree that they're garbage but don't like how it plays??? a shaft is only as good as it plays.
