Well, here are most of them. I have 2 more Mottey cues but they are at another pool room. In this photo we're looking at (from L to R) 2007 Paul Mottey, 2007 James White, 1989 Paul Mottey (just came today), 1983 Tim Scruggs, and a 2006 straight ebony Paul Mottey. I know this isn't even a pimple on Tikklers butt but I hope you guys enjoy them.

Nice set

Nice lineup you have there. I especially like the one on the far left.
Thanks for posting a group shot of these nice cues.

That Ebony Mottey on the far right is dead-sexy!! I'm diggin' it.

Nice lineup, sir.

A very nice collection of new and vintage cues. They all look like great players, by three of my favorite cue builders.

very nice

Thanks for all the comments, guys.

Tikkler, that Mottey on the far left was full order so in a sense it's one of one. I saw one similar to it and changed a few things around. When I ordered it Paul liked my ideas on the small changes. Here's the original (red background) and mine with the changes (pool table background). I changed the color of the veneer, different ring work and removed the diamonds from the short points........and black lizard instead of the reddish brown.....and the PM on the butt instead of a signature on the forearm. Not huge changes but I think it sweetened it up a bit.

Great cues. I like what you did with the design .Looking at the ringwork alone it shouts Mottey.
Congrats on a great collection .

The shafts on the Scruggs were incredable!

If you ever think about letting go of it Rember me.! It looks like one I let Cheese have. Nice cues!

I like your ideas on the changes also, but the only thing I would have done differantly is I would have left the diamond in the short points. It's a great looking cue, they all look good for that matter......

Yeah, I see what you're saying, but to me I thought the points stood out a little better without them. Snakewood is such a gorgeous wood and I actually didn't want any inlays at all. So I figured I'd keep them in the long points so there's something there to draw the attention and then leave the short points open to show all the wood.

If you noticed my JMW doesn't have any inlays at all. My entire thought behind that JMW cue when I ordered it was that I wanted a cue where the woods used in it were so good that it didn't need inlays. Like, if you see it from across the room you just see a normal cue and then when you walk up on it you're like "DAAAAAM, that's nice!!" I've got nothing against inlays but with woods like snakewood and burl etc.... I almost feel like it's a crime to cut little pieces out of it. Leave it there for everyone to look at. hehehe!!!

HAHA!! It's been in the for sale section of this site all week. Sorry, already sold. Someone here in Japan took it.
MULLY

Oddly enough I've received more messages about that beat up Scruggs than anything else. One person that contacted me may actually be the original owner, or at least a previous owner of that cue. Sorry, guys, it's not for sale. :D

That vintage 89 Mottey sure looks good there with the rest of your cues Mully! I'm glad it made the picture line up. Hehe.

That old Scruggs cue

I got it from David Steelman. It played so solid. I sold it to Phil and took it back in trade. It had a very forgiving hit. I have not been buying cues for a bit now. That is why I try not to look too hard at the for sale section. The new owner will be very happy. Funny thing is I thought Chris told me someone in Japan was getting the cue. I sold it to the Cheese man and that was the last I saw of it! It was just another great playing and hitting Scruggs cue!
Your other cues are awesome. That goes without saying!
Sweet cues!

Well, for what it's worth, Nick, I *am* in Japan. And it is a fantastic hitting cue. No way I could part with it.

That is funny!

Thank you for sharing. I told Chris that was a sweet cue. And if it went anywhere Japan was about as good a place as any.
I also rember him selling the cue for exactly what he paid for it. Gootta love Chris!
I thought that cue would inspire some of the natives that hit with it or saw it to order a cue from Timi or Lucky!
If you play good enough to appreciate that cue you are probably one hell of a player!
Congrats on your sweet collection!
Nick :)
