Multiple Shafts

We are all looking for the perfect cue with the perfect shaft for that perfect game. I have lots of cues and many shaft for each. The game I play determines the cue and shaft size and tip I use. If have two or more shafts you can change tips on them to experiment so you can improve your game. A good shaft will last longer than you will or until a better shaft comes along. I have a 40 year old shafts that still play great, but is 2 inch to short for my current playing style. P.S. I have never played with a 10mm tip maybe someday. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Can't really answer your question, but English Billiards is a great game for practice. You can play it on a regular table, you can play it alone, and it forces you to think more about the weight of the cue ball. Cue ball direction and reaction is as important (or more important) than any other ball on the table. For American games speed is much less important. Just make the ball and leave the cue ball in a reasonably defined area. That strategy won't win you many games in English Pool.
We normally play 8-ball over here, but you can find old-style English billiards if you look for it :)
