Mushroom grazer and burnisher

I saw 2 small tools that would be easy to carry in your case and if they work as described would be quite handy. They are made by Porper.
#1 is a mushroom grazer with a blade to trim the edge of your tip when it gets mushroomed. The other is a burnisher to fine tune the edge of the tip.
Does anyone have any experience with these tools? The ad said they will work on tips up to 14mm. But I am wondering if they will work on a Predator Z-2 with its 11.75mm diameter?

The one with the blade is a great idea, but it requires extreme precision to use....IOW, it's easy to mess up a ferrule if you aren't careful. I prefer to just use a razor blade, if it's that out of whack, or an ultimate tip tool. As for the burnisher, again, an awesome tool, but again, precision is needed when using it as you can spin a tip right of your cue. I've only done it twice in 20 years, so I'm happy with those odds and I'd like to chalk it up to the tip was installed poorly, but I can't be sure.

I have had this one for over 15 years and it works great. Sit against ferule so you won't damage it. I would not use it on layered tips that delaminate easily (Snippers for example). Moori's and other good tips have been no problem. Make sure you press down on the shaft so that the tip is compressed between ferule and supplied cutting surface.

I have only gotten mine sharpened on a buddy's lathe once in all that time. In my opinion a great tool.

Works great on all types of sizes (I play Snooker with 9mm and pool with 12.75mm) so you should have no problem using it on a 11.75mm Z.

Any Porper tool is a good tool. I used them exclusively when I used to hand tip my cues.

The Mushroom Grazer has an adjusting screw on the top. You can use it to trim new tips or just the mushroom. The adjusting screw keeps the blade away from the ferrule. You still have to be careful with it tho.
