I'm looking forward to attending this event. This is one of the tournaments that I have always wanted to attend but haven't been able to in the past.

When things kick OFF, J O B will be shoulder to shoulder BUT that will make for a great tourney. Look forward to the player auction, and some of the action besides the main eent.

Does anyone know if this event filled up in the men's division last year? I know it drew over 100 entrants a couple of years ago. At $75 for an entry, many of us will make a donation in order to play with some of the best. It is double elim with a race to 11. Too bad it is on 7 ft. tables, but a lot of guys seem to prefer that (particularly the Chattanooga and Huntsville players).
I went to this event five or six years ago (roughly?) and had a great time. I still remember my buddy Donnie Pinson and Hennessy fighting over some gal taking photos while Hennessy was shooting. I thought they were headed outside for sure. But I soon learned it was gamesmanship, and it seemed to work well for Hennessey. The match turned 180 on that spat.

Well, with the move of the Derby City to a Casino and all of the price controls on rooms now at that event, the Music City is a good alternate destination for many of us in the South. JOB is a pool player's joint, and I really like it.

This will be an awesome tournament! Many top players and amatuers alike.

Open tables on Diamond Boxes = triple nuts.

Look forward to seeing everyone there and if you can't make it, tune in at www.poolactiontv.com.

Hey Krypto,

Being from Chattanooga, u are right. There is a huge bar table preference in the area.

And I remember last year, or year before, that Hennessee and Sparky F. had some words about something (I think Sparky's girl was flagging Henny when he was about to shoot).

And Bartram was there last year mowin' em down.

There was even a little excitement surrounding me. I won't rehash the drama :).

I have been almost every year for the past 15 or so, but Chatt is alot closer than SC so I'll probably check out the stream this year. For anyone who is considering the trip, it's well worth it. Many big name players from the Derby hang around. It's full of mens and ladies champions.

And JOB is always a great host.

Mike

What time are you gonna start some streaming? Are you covering some of the Mini tourney today?

When I talked with the Lady that seemed to be running it (very nice btw...), she told me they had 108 last year.
