Music City Open

Congratulations to JA! The turning point for me seemed to be the match before with Hickerson. After that, Johnny seemed to play with a little fire in his belly. That second set with Henney was something else. JA was sinking 3 or 4 on the break and parking whitey right in the center of the table. Not much you can do about that. Congrats:smile:

Congrats to JA and to the AZ and Accu-Stats team, they did super work. I enjoyed the stream all weekend.

The real key was this. Johnny had the break down pat. Not only did he control the cue ball and make the wing ball on the break--but most importantly the 1 ball always stopped on the same side of the table he was breaking from and between the breaking corner and the side pocket. He made a ball on the break, had position on the1 ball, and the rest is history.

The set with Hickerson the call of the no hit on the 4ball in (rack 2 I think)was wrong it moved. Congrats to JA and JoB's was great week of pool. Highlight for me was having Buddy Hall setting under his picture watching my match.

I missed Johnny's first set because my computer had a major crash :(
Had to use a reformat disk to backdate my computer a week (couldn't even get to that option without a disk).

Got back for the last three games of the second set. Johnny is top notch....not that everyone not living in a cave for the last two decades wouldn't know it already.

Yes it did move but the referee (the referee was not there to see the call) asked Hickerson if it did and Hickerson said "yes". But if Hickerson saw it move---why did he sit down and let Archer get up to shoot. No one indicated a foul until Archer picked up the cue ball and the crowd objected.

Not picking sides --- but these are the facts.

I'll bet that table was picked clean! lol

Actually, the lint-picking Johnny didn't show, at least in the finals. Instead, he played at a quick, pump-pump-pump-shoot pace, and the two sets were over lickety split. He was a pleasure to watch (unlike when he is lint picking). Congrats, Johnny, and thanks Accu-Stats.
